Praying for our Iranian-Canadian sister being held in prison. 🙏
“Simin Soheili-Nia, an Iranian-Canadian Christian convert, in Evin Prison.” Since September 2025, Simin has been behind bars after being arrested upon returning to Iran from Canada, where she had been living after fleeing persecution in 2020. She went back for one reason: family. After learning of her father’s death and her mother’s terminal illness, Simin traveled home with her son, hoping for a final goodbye. Instead, she was detained. She was taken first to Qarchak Women’s Prison, then transferred to Evin Prison. Simin had already faced persecution before. In January 2019, she was arrested alongside other Christian converts. By October 2020, they were sentenced to a combined 35 years in prison, with appeals denied in 2021. Her sentence was later reduced to 3 years and 6 months — yet she remains imprisoned today. articleeighteen.com/news/236… #Article18Podcast #FoRBForAll #Place2Worship #Simin_Soheilinia

3. Yemen The indigenous church consists mainly of converts from Islam, who must practise their faith in absolute secrecy. Discovery as a Christian can be deadly because in Yemen apostasy is legally punishable by death. opendoorscanada.org/worldwat…

1. North Korea If a North Korean is discovered to be a Christian, the consequences are unimaginably stark: imprisonment in one of its notorious labour camps or immediate execution. The same fate is likely to await other family members. opendoorscanada.org/worldwat…

4. Sudan Sudanese Christians are currently going through a severe crisis stemming from the brutal civil war. The government reinstated oppressive figures, brought back cruel ‘morality policies’, and is using old Islamic laws to justify forced conversion. opendoorscanada.org/worldwat…
