@fredvmusic Just wanted to say #thankyou 🙏🏻 for your lovely show @KissFMUK tonight. You made a long drive (from Snowdonia to South Norfolk) feel much shorter and go much faster! A delectable selection of dnb tunes.

I know not everyone likes these puppets, but personally I’m finding them really helpful. The last Tristan I saw was Loy, ROH, and that was so bare and stark, I felt utterly disorientated. This production is so much more emotionally accessible. I quote: “an indelible Tristan.”
You know you’ve been watching #bsotristan possibly too much when Twitter starts showing you adverts for Wound Hygiene..
Twitter, I hate to break it to you, but no amount of Biofilm is going to save Tristan from his Wound. Spoiler alert: Only Isolde (and Death) can help him now.x

Excellent! I can’t take my eyes and ears off it. So amazing!!!! I really hope they’ll release a recording of this at the very least! #bsotristan

To me, the puppets are, at different times:
-their souls
-their memories of themselves
-their fake outward selves in the ‘world of Day’ that others see
-in Act 3: bringing Tristan back to an orphanage (he talks of his orphaned childhood); his childhood memories of Kareol

I’ve found it successfully and currently watching it for the 3rd time, utterly spellbound!

Did you know? 😬😳The conductor, Joseph Keilberth, died during a TRISTAN UND ISOLDE performance. He suffered a heart attack in the second act, succumbing to it soon after. This point is still marked today in our sheet music. #lamaledizione #BSOtristan © W. Hösl

@BBCRadio4 #youandyours You’re not allowed to have a job while studying at Oxford. There are tons of bursaries available to help students in financial need. If Matty is caught working he’ll get into trouble. He should talk to his college. They will help.
It is so wonderful to hear @amolrajan on @BBCRadio4 @BBCr4today - just fantastic. My week already feels more civilised. 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 #thankyou #moreplease
Just booked my tickets to #OpenArias in June featuring @jen_the_sop @marthajmezzo @AliOllerenshaw and Richard Dowling. Can’t wait! #openairopera #operainsuffolk #abbeyhalleye #lifeafterlockdown #operaconcert

Yes, quite a number - but someone who has found as much success as Clarke will have worked with 1000s of ppl over 20+ yrs. I can’t see any evidence he’s admitted anything, other than a couple of v specific apologies. He needs (and deserves) a fair chance to clear his name, imho.

Heartily agree with you. To cancel the last episode punishes the entire creative team, and all because of unproven allegations against one person - which may well turn out to be unfounded! Unfair, unwarranted interference from @ITV which patronises their audience.

I am disturbed by @itvstudios cancelling the final episode of #viewpoint to broadcast due to allegations against #NoelClarke. The viewer should decide whether to watch or not! Not all hv @itvhub! This is unfair to cast+crew. Innocent until proven guilty? these are allegations!
Whatever happened to “innocent until proven guilty”? It seems very unfair that a hard-won, respected film career can be sabotaged overnight by 1 unproven article. Noel Clarke needs a fair chance to address, refute and disprove these allegations; not trial by tweet. #noelclarke

Also happy to find this this thread, as also reading the same book! I had also assumed “lesbians”, but I think it’s a misprint for Schwärmerinnen - “enthusiasts”! Certainly, lesbianism is strongly implied by Marcia Maling. #marystewart #wildfireatmidnight

We are SO excited for this👏 Less than a week until Outskirts, a semi-autobiographical coming of age story set in North Norfolk, is premiered online 🎟️ Tickets available now (we can't recommend enough) 👇

It is so hard to pick just one favourite! But: (deep breath, drum roll...) It has to be Macbeth. Love Shakespeare’s original and also love its later interpretations: Verdi’s operas (two versions exist - I’ve seen both) and Kurosawa’s haunting Japanese version, Throne of Blood.🗡

I’m so glad you’ve spoken out about this, Helena. I lived in London for 12 years and found this aspect of London so terrifying and exhausting that eventually I left. Now, I live in the countryside - I feel so much safer, happier and at ease.

I was imagining Jim’s coat as a fleece... Possibly with a few old Werther’s originals and a battered copy of Homer in the pockets!! #TheArchers
