Burkina Faso's Captain Ibrahim Traor茅 is protected by an elite security team whose members have undergone specialised military training in Russia. These are highly trained personnel entrusted with one of the most sensitive responsibilities in the country: protecting the head of state. At a time when Burkina Faso is confronting terrorism, foreign interference and powerful interests opposed to its independent political direction, presidential security is a matter of national sovereignty. Captain Traor茅's government has made strengthening the country's military and security capabilities a priority, including through strategic military cooperation with Russia. Burkina Faso must be able to defend its leadership, institutions and independence against any threat 馃嚙馃嚝馃嚪馃嚭

US embassies are money-minting fronts. Visa rejections have become a lucrative business model. Applicants pay hefty, non-refundable fees, submit mountains of documentation, endure lengthy processes, and can still be turned away without getting a single cent back. Between 2018 and 2025, Nigerians spent an estimated $193 million on US visitor visa application fees alone, regardless of the outcome. In 2024, Nigerians also lost approximately $4.9 million to rejected Schengen visa applications. Whether you get the visa or not, the money is collected. The applicant carries all the risk; the system keeps the money.

Haiti defeated Napoleon鈥檚 forces, overthrew French colonial rule and won its independence in 1804, becoming the first Black republic in history. But France refused to accept its freedom without a price. In 1825, it forced Haiti to pay 150 million gold francs as compensation for the loss of enslaved people and colonial property. Haiti was forced to borrow from foreign banks to pay this ransom, trapping generations of Haitians in debt. Imagine defeating your colonizers, winning your freedom, only to be forced to pay them for it. This was colonial exploitation.
