Dumb post.

Exactly. The disproportionate outrage over a corrected mistake is ridiculous. Professionals make mistakes, drafts get published, errors get corrected. Thatโs why revisions exist. The real question is whether the same energy would be expended if this involved someone they liked, or whether Leah is being held to a different standard because of who she is. Accountability should be consistent, not selectively weaponized when someone becomes a convenient target.
This shit is getting fucking stupid ๐คก
Love you girl! Thanks for your work! ๐ฉท
@leahfiles comments are off for everyone except Leah for this post, because if you have hate to spew about her idgaf ๐๐ฉทSheโs a rockstar ๐

A lot of us called this from the beginning this is not surprising
Leah Files shouldโve just been quiet about the Shawn Ryan interview. She could've just chalked it up as a loss and moved on. This whole thing caused people to take a closer look at her work, now everyone knows itโs just nicely packaged AI slop. It's a facade, and when you scratch the surface and dig into the details, there just really isn't much there.
In my very first breakdown of the interview I stated that there was a disconnect between her Substack presentation and how she presented herself on Shawn Ryan. She was not able to communicate about the topics in any level of detail. We now know why...
When you handwrite things, edit them yourself, put together your own charts, and take the time to understand the details and learn, you can communicate about them. There is no substitute to actually doing the work. A lesson for everyone in this age of AI.
I have the same issue with Erika Kirk and Katie Zacharia. A nicely packaged, dishonestly marketed, inauthentic facade leveraged to gain a platform and attention.
I'm about done with this topic, I've said my piece on it, and I'll accept the apologies from those who said I was bought and paid for expressing my correct opinion and observations on the matter.

I love Drey and integrity in journalism has become a rarity.
Appreciate your thoroughness for accuracy @thedreydossier๐
This is also a prime example why it's never a good idea to share private messages or DMs on X.
It will come back to bite you, it always does!!
I believe in independent media. We need more independent researchers and more independent voices, which is why Iโll always root for people doing this work outside the big outlets. That being said, the people doing this work have to genuinely care about the information they put out and about the people receiving it. Otherwise weโre no better than the media conglomerates people come to us to escape.
The Leah Files just sent her midterm predictions to more than 41,000 subscribers, and Iโm one of them. As I read through the post, I couldnโt help but notice her numbers were dramatically different from what Iโd seen in the FEC filings this week. Her post is missing more than half of James Talaricoโs fundraising. It ends by telling readers to look up everything on their ballot at her funding guide before they vote, and that guide says Maineโs Democratic Senate nominee โhas reported raising nothingโ when the FEC shows heโs raised $26.9 million.
On top of that, her maps are missing states. New York and Rhode Island are gone, and โRCโ isnโt a real state. They also list people who arenโt on the ballot. Oklahoma says โNuzzell,โ who isnโt running, and Florida says DeSantis, whoโs term-limited. Indiana doesnโt even have a governorโs race this year, and it says โBritzker.โ Thatโs especially dangerous with early voting already underway.
When I asked her about it, she said it was published a few weeks ago, even though the post was only two hours old at the time. Then my note correcting her numbers was gone.
And look, nobody expects any of us to be perfect. Digging through all of these files and keeping everything straight in your head is a really tough job, and I get that more than anyone. But telling your readers to use a website you made before they vote, when itโs full of outdated and wrong numbers, is where I draw the line. If independent media is going to be better than the outlets weโre pushing against, we have to get the facts right.

Itโs all unconfirmed AI slop.
Imagine that.

DOCTORS, LAWYERS, and ECONOMISTSโฆ OH MY!
Welcome to the Age of Manufactured Expertise
Weโve entered an era where credentials are announced with enormous confidence, but the moment someone asks a serious question, the performance becomes considerably less impressive.
At a recent speaking engagement, @MrsErikaKirk reportedly explained that when she appeared to be looking down at notes, she was actually looking at a photograph of her late husband, because he was so handsome. Yeah, rightโฆ
Then thereโs @KatieZacharia; #Trumpโs newly appointed White House press secretary, that exited before the milk expired; whom the president publicly described as an attorney. One rather inconvenient detail emerged: She had never passed the bar exam. Within five days, she was out. The federal vetting process is hook ups, favors, and bribes. ((allegedly))
Letโs not forget our โFOLLOW THE MONEYโ ECONOMISTโ@leahfiles; introduced on the @ShawnRyan762 Show as an economist with an extensive background in financial analysis and intelligence. BUT, when Ryan asked about the #petrodollar, she had nothing of substance to contribute.
Notice the recurring theme?
Weโre all in the middle of a BAD MOVIE, eating STALE popcorn. @ZachCostello_ @OwenBenjamin @baroncoleman @RealCandaceO
