Left San Juan this morning to visit small mountain villages from Mameyes to Utuado to Adjuntas. Held listening sessions with #farmers, #NGO reps and schoolchildren about their challenges after the devastation of Hurricane Maria. Busy day in San Juan PR meeting with small #farmers, #urbanag and #NGO #sustainableag professionals, learning about their post Hurricane Maria needs and explaining #SSARE training, research and education grant opportunities. And then watched sunset on the beach!
