Some of you know that Alien is my all-time favorite film. This is sad. Always loved his work. RIP Tom Skerritt...

Bad news... Apparently, @Sony is ditching the X700. That said, my view is that, if this physical media resurgence continues, it's only a matter of time before another company steps up to fill the void & develop a new model of 4K player to serve the demand. And demand for physical media IS increasing significantly compared to a few years ago, so the market is not going to be able to ignore this demand.

Incoming: Rush concert review for the Seattle shows on Musical Fuzz. Premieres at 1 p.m. PST. I'll be in the chat mixing it up, for those who would like to join me.😉 youtube.com/watch?v=3kSH8vvZ…
Ouch! Are ya ready for your next flop, @JamesGunn?
The Year of the DC Flop is upon us!

Good video... the D.A. gets it. I mean, it's not like this stuff is rocket science. But apparently, @JamesGunn is a little slow on the uptake & seems to be having trouble figuring this stuff out... even though he's got longtime fans pointing out the most obvious sh*t right to his face. The fact that he ever thought handling Lanterns this way was a good idea is very telling. I think he's probably just not a very bright guy. Or at the very least, grotesquely out of touch. youtube.com/watch?v=Txp8I5uT…
Meanwhile, I was attending Rush's 50 Something tour last night in Seattle while this was going on elsewhere. And Geddy and Alex were most definitely not operating like this...
I'll take Rush.
Time for Mike Love to retire.
Oh wow - I will be all over this on day one! 25 extra minutes? Sign me up!
THE SHINING : long version !
Criterion will release (for the first-time ever in the US), the extended long version of Kubrick's "The Shining" : 144 minutes, so 25min more than the current version

I'm in full-on Rush Mode now. Tonight's the night! Finally! The first of two Rush shows I'm attending in Seattle for the 50 Something tour. Taking my 16-year-old son to both shows. Very special night!
Of course, I'll be doing a review of the Seattle shows on my Musical Fuzz channel next week.
Here's why I think there's a very good chance Zack Snyder could return to DC (which I would frankly welcome after the sh*t show & disrespect for DC we've seen from James Done)...
The Saudis are all about Snyder. “They Love The Snyder Big Mythical Stuff." And the Saudis invested quite a bit of money in this WB acquisition. So I'm guessing they're gonna have at least some pull in deciding who shapes the future of DC. They want Snyder.
And personally, I liked the Snyderverse, in a broader sense. Snyder at least had vision and great world-building. As a director, he's fantastic. His films are gorgeous and look incredible! It's the writing and the casting that are often the problem with his movies, and that's where he needs help. I hated Jessie Eisenturd as Lex Luthor -- one of the worst casting choices in history. And I wasn't a fan of Ezra Miller or Jason Momoa either. But I still loved the Snyder Cut of Justice League. And it always bothered me how he was treated by Warner, and the fact that he never got to finish what he started.
You know, initially I was optimistic about the idea of rebooting the DCU, even though I wasn't sure if Gunn was the right guy. But clearly he wasn't, because he totally shit the bed, and now Snyder's work (even with all the flaws) is lookin' pretty damn good these days by comparison.
So yeah, I'd have no problem with a Snyder return at this point.

Holy crap! Check this out! Man, I wish I'd seen this before I recorded the video I'm about to drop on upcoming 4Ks...
Fantastic news! I'll be all over this action...
Who had this on their #4K #UltraHD bingo card? Disney is re-issuing DIE HARD in 4K Steelbook on 12/1, along with DIE HARD 2 and DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE for the very first time! And yeah, the packaging artwork sucks. But still! @thedigitalbits
I think this could all be for temporary optics. There was no way Ellison was gonna fire Gunn right off the bat when he's still got 2 more movies coming out that they need people to go see. They can't very well signal to the world that there's no point in even watching the rest of the Gunn DCU because he's on his way out. That wouldn't be a very smart move from a business/profitability standpoint.
The contracts for Gunn and Safran are still up in April. Nothing has changed in this regard.
I could be wrong, but I still think Gunn and Safran are on their way out (whether they know it or not). But it probably wouldn't be made public until after Man of Tomorrow gets released.
James Gunn has officially made Skydance’s leadership team.
The company announced Gunn and Peter Safran will remain Co-Chairmen of DC Studios when the Paramount-Warner Bros. merger closes Tuesday.
And now we know exactly who they answer to.
DC Studios reports directly to David Ellison and Ynon Kreiz, not the new Warner Bros. film bosses.
Skydance’s announcement praises Gunn’s Superman and calls Lanterns an “HBO Max smash,” while also hyping Man of Tomorrow.
Interesting omissions?
Clayface — which opens in a few weeks — and Supergirl, the biggest DC box office bomb under Gunn and Safran.
And one thing still hasn’t changed: Bloomberg says their contracts expire in April 2027, before Man of Tomorrow even opens.
Gunn made the day-one Skydance leadership team.
What happens when that contract comes up is still the question.
