💥 A memo that circulated among top policymakers in the Trump administration last spring cited intelligence that Chinese “businesswoman” 🇨🇳 Alice Huang, who had a close relationship with Nvidia’s chief executive Jensen Huang, was a spy for 🇨🇳 Ministry of State Security.
Alice Huang was recruited to collect intelligence on Jensen Huang as part of a drive by Beijing’s top spy agency to learn more about American AI chips and potentially influence the company to push for its most advanced chips to be made available to China.
The existence of the memo and the assessment by US officials that Alice Huang was working directly for the main Chinese intelligence agency have not previously been reported. They add important new detail to what appears to be an especially audacious example of China’s longstanding industrial espionage efforts.
China’s interest in Jensen Huang, and precisely what Beijing hoped to achieve by having one of its intelligence assets begin a close relationship with the executive, have been a focus of US spy agencies. Those questions are now also of interest to Capitol Hill. On Nov 5, the Republican leaders of three influential House committees requested that Jensen Huang appear before them later this month in a closed-door briefing regarding his interactions with Alice Huang, who is not related.
It was reported last week that Jensen Huang was a target of a Chinese intelligence operation, and that US intelligence agencies were conducting electronic surveillance of Alice Huang, a Chinese citizen, for at least a year. Trump had been briefed last year about Jensen Huang’s relationship with her, but chose not to do anything about it.
Alice Huang speaks English well and has relationships with executives at the highest levels of the AI chip industry, including Jensen Huang and the leaders of Gigabyte, one of the top assemblers of Nvidia supercomputers. She has attended industry conferences and private executive dinners.
It is unclear when Alice Huang first met Nvidia’s leader. In 2024, around the time the two of them were photographed together at a bar in Taipei, her company, Megaspeed, began a multibillion-dollar purchase of advanced AI microchips.
To many in the industry, the well-funded push by Megaspeed into AI appeared to come out of nowhere.
Alice Huang was connected to a network of companies and investors clustered around Shanghai and Zhejiang province that had used their ties to local officials in Shanghai to push aggressively from mobile video games into data centers, which provide the computing power behind AI.
Megaspeed has been building data centers in Southeast Asia and then renting their computing power to Alibaba, giving China a backdoor way of getting access to advanced Nvidia chips. Nvidia is restricted by the US from selling those chips directly to China.
Beyond its local connections, the network also has a financial link to the Chinese military establishment, through an investment in a cybersecurity subsidiary of China Electronics Technology Group, one of the country’s largest makers of military technology.

💥 Earlier this year US officials wrote a memo, based on information obtained by American intelligence, which said Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang had been romantically involved with Alice Huang, an executive at Megaspeed, a Singapore-based customer of Nvidia. The US intelligence community believes that Alice Huang was recruited as a spy by 🇨🇳 Ministry of State Security.
The memo was shared with a small group of top US government officials shortly before Donald Trump travelled to Beijing for a summit with Xi Jinping.
Photographs and videos showing Huang with the Megaspeed executive have circulated on social media.
Megaspeed has come under US scrutiny for allegedly smuggling advanced Nvidia chips into China in violation of US export controls. Nvidia previously launched an internal probe into the allegations but assessed that there was no evidence of wrongdoing.
The revelation about the memo comes a day after top Republican lawmakers asked the Nvidia CEO to appear in private before the House China, foreign affairs and intelligence committees to answer questions about a New York Times report that US intelligence had concluded he was the target of a Chinese spying operation. They also wanted to ask Huang about the security protocols that the company has in place.
Megaspeed was spun off from a Chinese gaming company in 2023. The US government has been investigating companies, particularly in southeast Asia, that are believed to be smuggling advanced chips into China.
The focus has intensified as competition between the US and China in AI has grown more intense. The US is increasingly concerned about China’s ability to obtain advanced chips that would accelerate its military modernisation.
US national security officials have privately expressed frustration about Huang, who personally lobbied Trump earlier this year to allow Nvidia to export the H200 chip to customers in China.
Jensen Huang has held multiple meetings with Trump since the president started his second term in 2025.
When Trump flew to China in May for a summit with Xi, Huang was not among the chief executives who departed Washington on Air Force One with the president.
After Trump learnt that he was not included in the group, he called the Nvidia CEO, who flew to Alaska where he boarded the presidential jet during a stopover. In Sep, he attended the state dinner that Trump held for Xi during his US visit.

I called it a whole year ago‼️
Megaspeed CEO Huang Xiaole (黄小乐) aka Alice Huang, a Chinese businesswoman who had a close relationship with Jensen Huang, was found to be a Chinese intelligence asset funneling information to Beijing. President Trump was briefed and took no action.
American spy agencies had gathered striking intelligence. Surveillance of Alice Huang revealed that she had developed a close relationship with Jensen Huang, Nvidia’s chief executive.
The discovery that Beijing was getting reports from someone with direct access to Jensen Huang set off alarms at the White House.
Roughly a year ago, Trump was briefed about the intelligence findings, which have not been previously reported, and chose not to do anything with the information. Trump has been wary of disrupting Nvidia’s chip sales, which are helping to drive the economy and the stock market, and of further complicating the trading relationship with China.
American officials already suspected that Alice Huang was helping China evade constraints on its ability to gain access to advanced AI chips.
But the revelation that she was feeding information directly to Beijing raised more troubling possibilities. And it left questions about whether she could be gleaning information about Nvidia, which as much as any company accounts for the lead the US has maintained in developing cutting-edge AI models.
Jensen Huang has not received a defensive briefing, warnings sometimes given to Americans who are being targeted by foreign intelligence services.
The surveillance of Alice Huang continues, and companies that have been affiliated with her continued this year to purchase Nvidia chips.
When Trump was initially briefed on the intelligence last year, U.S. officials did not believe the Nvidia executive knew that Jensen Huang was gathering information for the Chinese. It is unclear whether intelligence officials have since updated their assessment, but some senior officials inside the Trump administration doubt that Jensen Huang could have remained unaware of what they had concluded was her intel-gathering role for China.
The previous reporting about Alice Huang described her meteoric and somewhat mysterious rise. A Chinese businesswoman and investor, she eventually became a top official with Megaspeed, which the Commerce Department, toward the end of the Biden administration, began to suspect was helping China evade US prohibitions and gain access to the computing power of Nvidia chips.
The US government has been investigating Megaspeed since late 2024, when a Commerce Department official visited its data center in Malaysia and found the site to be suspicious. The Nvidia equipment was still packed in boxes, suggesting it was being shipped in or out rather than installed there.
Singapore has conducted its own investigation into Megaspeed. In 2025, Singaporean authorities brought Alice Huang in for questioning, but subsequently released her.
The Commerce Department investigation into Megaspeed was handed over this year to the Justice Department.
Megaspeed is among the firms in Southeast Asia that buy chips to build data centers and then rent their computing power to companies in China.
Megaspeed is essentially a middle man. It has bought Nvidia chips from Aivres, the US arm of 🇨🇳 Inspur, which has been blacklisted for funneling technology to the Chinese military, though Aivres remains free of sanctions.
Megaspeed has then provided that computing power to Alibaba and other Chinese companies. US officials believe the firm is one piece of a sprawling international effort by Chinese companies to access the chips needed to build and run AI. Investigators suspect that some Nvidia chips acquired by Megaspeed are also finding their way illegally into China.

Hard to believe the Senate was sitting on roughly 700 House-passed bills and still did almost nothing. This Congress has one of the worst legislative records in decades.
Our country could have been better but the rinos decided that handing the country back to democrats was the answer.

YES!! Start a nationwide trend! 🔥
DeSantis is petitioning the State Legislature to impeach Judge Tiffany Baker: “Until you start holding these judges ACCOUNTABLE, they are going to continue to find ways to benefit the criminal element!”
“This was an outrage. This was such an easy call to make sure that this guy was put behind bars, and this judge refused to do it!”

Ron DeSantis takes another shot at Vivek Ramaswamy and questions why we even allowed him on the debate stage in 2024.
DESANTIS: "Why is he on the stage? What did he do to be on that stage? Like, nothing."
"Honestly, his business was this Alzheimer’s drug that didn’t work."
“He bought it. It failed two clinical trials... He goes out and pumps it. Stock goes up. I mean, no one got better off this."
Vivek went on to lose the governor’s race in red Ohio to Democrat Amy Acton by 8 points after an ill-advised attack ad sent his campaign into a spiral.
DeSantis says Vivek proves the GOP needs to do a better job vetting candidates before giving them the time of day.

I'm DONE making excuses for Jim Jordan. 😡
Rogue judges have been blocking President Trump's agenda left and right.
Not ONE has been impeached.
Why?
Because it all starts with the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee.
That's Jim Jordan.
It's HIS job to get the ball rolling.
So why hasn't he?
Either he's too scared to fight, or he AGREES with what these judges are doing.
Neither one is acceptable.
Talk is cheap, Jim.
Where's the action?
Jim Jordan is FAKE MAGA. 🇺🇸

Congress is set to investigate the relationship between Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and an alleged Chinese spy.
The unfortunate reality, he is not the only one. The CCP has been compromising US elites for years.
We need to wake up to the reality that CEO's, academics, and politicians have all been compromised.
