There's a character named Leah Simons in this book. She's a principal of a public school in Indiana, based loosely on a real person. Yes, the character is a villain. Read it since it's written by a Hammond High graduate. a.co/d/02RKH1Vw

Our hearts genuinely go out to you. 💔
We know how much time, love, and sacrifice goes into building something from the ground up. It's heartbreaking to see another organization going through this.
Nobody deserves to have years of hard work put at risk without answers.

Five years of dedication and hard work, only to be left fighting for answers and support. No one deserves this.
We're so sorry you're going through this, @OutstandingCre1
What you've built matters, and you deserve to be heard.

Dear Authors, Creators, and Friends,
We are writing to inform you of an unexpected and deeply troubling situation affecting Outstanding Creator Awards' social media accounts.
On November 2, 2026, our @facebook and @instagram accounts, including our associated personal and business profiles, were abruptly suspended and subsequently disabled by Meta.
We strongly dispute the enforcement action and believe our accounts may have been wrongfully flagged by their automated (AI) system. We did nothing wrong.
Unfortunately, we have lost access to our established Facebook and Instagram pages, including years of content, community engagement, client recommendations, and promotional activity.
This has been an extremely distressing experience, particularly given the time, effort, and resources we have invested in building these platforms and supporting the authors and creators who trust us.
Unfortunately, we are far from alone in this experience.
Over the past year, numerous news outlets have reported on widespread complaints about Facebook and Instagram accounts being abruptly suspended or disabled, with affected users alleging that @Meta's automated (AI) enforcement systems have made serious mistakes and extreme allegations. Thousands of users across the United States and around the world have reportedly experienced similar problems, including unexpected account suspensions, unsuccessful appeals (often within minutes), and difficulty obtaining meaningful assistance from Meta.
These troubling incidents have received extensive media attention, including the following news reports:
youtube.com/watch?v=JRmE11YX…
youtube.com/watch?v=gLaG7aM9…
youtube.com/watch?v=VT1wxDVV…
In fact, more than 66,000 people have signed a petition demanding accountability, transparency, and fair treatment from Meta, and that number continues to grow. The petition, organized by People Over Platforms Worldwide (@p_o_p_worldwide), calls attention to wrongful account suspensions, inadequate appeals processes, and the devastating consequences these decisions can have on individuals and businesses.

What Meta/Facebook/Instagram is doing to users whose accounts have been wrongfully disabled is simply wrong. @finkd, this is a travesty.
Meta is more than willing to leave up accounts for harassment, threats, disturbing content, and impersonating other users, yet they are hasty to erase the accounts of genuine, well-meaning users. People should not have to lose years of memories, relationships, business connections, and hard work without a clear explanation or meaningful opportunity to appeal.
Please rest assured that Outstanding Creator Awards remains fully operational. Our contests, editorial reviews, author recognition programs, and other services are continuing. The results for our 2026 Clash of Champions contest are still expected by December 20th, and the results for Best of the Year are still expected by January 15th. And, yes, there WILL be a 2027 Spring Contest, a 2027 Summer Contest, etc.
We won't be stopped. You're talking about an organization run by a 9x powerlifting champion and a mother who survived two separate dictatorships and endured a 12 hour birth without an epidural or medication. We don't expect everything to be easy. A lot of the best things in life involve challenges and setbacks. A lot of the greatest accomplishments are gained through struggle and strife.
We understand that the instinct is sometimes to avoid drama or distance oneself when a ship appears distressed or sinking. Well, Outstanding Creator Awards isn't going anywhere. What doesn't end us will only make us stronger.
In fact, on November 21, 2026, we will celebrate our five-year anniversary of being in business, having served more than 1,200 clients from countries around the world!
That's half a decade of OCA. Half a decade of being there alongside authors, artists, and other creators as they achieve their goals and chase their dreams. Half a decade of propping people up, elevating their works, and highlighting their talents. Half a decade of speaking our truth when, quite frankly, other organizations are abusing AI, blowing smoke, and/or are full of crap. Half a decade of diligent, dedicated work--day after day after day.
We've worked extraordinarily hard to build this organization, establish meaningful relationships, and earn the trust of the people we serve. We're incredibly proud of what we've accomplished together, and we're not going to allow this unfortunate situation to undermine everything we've built.
For the time being, we kindly ask that you communicate with us through our regular business email or official website rather than Facebook or Instagram. If you've recently contacted us through either platform and haven't received a response, please reach out again by email.

Dear Authors, Creators, and Friends,
Today, our @facebook and @instagram accounts were suspended. This follows a week in which--as many of you know--our business e-mail account was spoofed and used to send unsolicited Google Spreadsheet requests in apparent phishing attack.
Regarding our Facebook and Instagram accounts, we have reason to suspect that they may have been hacked and used to post or share content without our knowledge, authorization, or consent, potentially triggering enforcement actions by @Meta's automated systems. We are actively investigating the situation.
Many of you have known us and trusted us for years--we celebrate our fifth year in business this month. We have over 1,200 clients.
So, it should go without saying:
We have not participated in any illegal activity of any kind that would justify this decision by these social media platforms. We deny all allegations--there is no basis for them.
We are actively seeking a thorough human review and reinstatement of our accounts.
We sincerely appreciate your patience and support during this distressing situation. Outstanding Creator Awards remains fully operational, and we will continue providing updates here on X.

From October 30th E-Mail:
Dear Authors, Creators, and Friends,
We want to bring an unfortunate situation to your attention. Some of you have recently received fraudulent Google Sheets invitations that appear to come from Steven Seril or Outstanding Creator Awards. These invitations are fake, were not authorized by us, and contain links to phishing websites.
Please do not click on these links or provide any personal information. If you have already entered a password, we strongly encourage you to change it immediately and enable two-factor authentication.
Having our name, identity, and email address misused in this manner has been an incredibly violating and uncomfortable experience. We have spent years building relationships with authors, creators, and members of the literary community, and the thought of someone exploiting that trust to deceive or harm others is deeply upsetting to us.
We want to reassure everyone that our book submissions and associated personal information are stored separately through 123FormBuilder, which uses encryption to protect submitted data. At this time, we have no evidence that submitted manuscripts, book files, or personal information collected through these forms have been compromised.
We have also taken additional security precautions and strengthened account protections. We are continuing to investigate and address this situation.
We sincerely apologize for any confusion, concern, or inconvenience these fraudulent messages may have caused. We are especially grateful to everyone who reached out to alert us. Your vigilance has been tremendously helpful.
Please know that protecting our authors, their creative works, and the trust they place in us remains one of our highest priorities.
Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support.
Keep creating,
Steven Seril
