Can you believe these rorts? The head of the failing Snowy 2.0 disaster is being paid $1.8 million a year. Your power bills go up. Their salaries are only going up too. As households struggle with rising electricity costs, the Sunday Telegraph reports huge pay rises across senior climate and energy positions. Many are being paid multiple times more than the Prime Minister of the country. This is where your taxes are going while you can’t afford to pay your bills. This is just wrong.

Once again Labor is treating taxpayers’ money as its own and spending it to serve its own political ends. They have splashed MORE money on news organisations in another round of grant funding. This time under the “News Innovation Fund”. We saw it with multicultural grants and invitation-only sports and community grants. Now it is subsidising the newsrooms meant to hold it to account, under rules that shut out media outlets the government thinks will criticise it. Like this government’s whole approach to grants, it stinks.
