Over the past month, I've been busy with several projects and recently completed one.
In this project, I built a LinkedIn Jobs Data Pipeline. It extracts job listing data from the LinkedIn API and carry out series of tasks with S3, Lambda and Redshift

Idempotency exists because pipelines never run just once. Tasks fail halfway and get retried, schedulers rerun them, and engineers backfill history. It exists so rerunning is always safe. Running it once or five times on the same input leaves data in exactly the same final state.

This isn't a data engineering book. Might be the most important for your career anyway.
The Pragmatic Programmer by David Thomas & Andrew Hunt.
Most tech books teach a skill. This one teaches how to think: how to write code you're not embarrassed by in a year.

You’ve just joined a new team. It's Day 3.
A senior engineer hands you a ticket: “The nightly Airflow DAG is shaky. It fails maybe twice a week, passes the rest of the time. Nobody has fixed it in four months.”

This sounds like a simple question. But there is a trap.
The interviewer already knows you know what these two are. That is not what they are testing.
They want to know if you understand the architecture behind each one.

Nobody remembers your first pipeline. They remember if you shipped again.
The best engineers aren't those who never fail. They fail, fix it, document it, and show up better.
You don't need to know everything today. Just one more thing than yesterday.

If you're serious about working in modern data teams, dbt is a tool worth knowing beyond the basics.
It transforms raw data into reliable, tested datasets and brings software engineering practices: version control, testing, docs and modularity into the transformation layer.

A new track has been added to Praxicraft, and we can’t wait to share it with you all. 👀
But before we reveal it…
Can you guess what the new track is?
Hint: Raw data is only the beginning.
What happens between the source and the dashboard?

Happy new month! 🎉
October's here, and honestly, where did September even go?
Hope the last few months have been kind to you💙
And while we've got you.. tomorrow, we're sharing something new coming to Praxicraft. You'll want to be around for this one.

Several times, I've been asked if I have left politics. The plain answer is No.
I have not abandoned politics. But my purpose in politics goes beyond party affiliation: it is about changing the mindset of the individuals who make up both the leadership and followership of our country.
In this excerpt from a recent interview, I address the question squarely, and also discuss why we must work on the individuals that make up society - you and me.
Discernment must never become self-righteousness. If we claim to belong to the Light, our first responsibility is not to become better prosecutors of everybody else. It is to submit ourselves to the Spirit of Truth, examine our own motives, and hold firmly to what is good.
So before asking where another politician or party stands, perhaps the more searching question is: Where do I stand, and what in the way I live proves it?
Truth does not bend itself around our politics, friendships, or ambitions. It is simply true.

Fix:
• git pull origin main
• Resolve any conflicts, then git add . && git commit -m "resolved"
• Push again: git push origin main
• Avoid git push --force — it overwrites remote history

Here is how to fix this error 👇
Git rejects your push to protect history it hasn't shown you yet so it's not a bug.
• The remote has commits your local copy doesn't
• Often from a teammate pushing while you worked locally.
• Or a direct edit on GitHub ( small README edit) 🧵
