Residents Speak – Councillors Stay Silent
Southall Residents Alliance is calling on the community to come together this Saturday, 31 October at 2pm outside Southall Town Hall.
Our councillors have chosen not to attend. Residents will still be there.
because the issues affecting our streets cannot wait for party politics.
We are raising:
• The RISE relocation with no proper consultation
• Lack of visible policing & enforcement
• Open drug use & dealing near schools and parks
• Dirty streets & a neglected town centre
• Rising anti-social behaviour, street crime and shoplifting
• Residents being shut out of decisions
• Ongoing fly-tipping
• The need for a safer, stronger and fairer Southall
Turn up. Speak out. Make sure your voice is heard.

#Southall is spooky all year round, not just on Halloween. The fault for the descent into a zombie town lies with Ealing Council for relocating RISE to Southall Town Hall. There are plenty of unused community rooms in Perceval House, perfect for relocation. – at Southall, London
When councillors put party politics before public engagement, residents have every right to question their priorities. You cannot claim to represent the whole community while refusing to face a community meeting because you disagree with the organisers.
🚨 SOUTHALL RESIDENTS DESERVE BETTER THAN POLITICAL EXCUSES!
Labour councillors have declined our invitation, citing political affiliations rather than focusing on residents’ concerns.
Crime, drugs, ASB and fly-tipping are not party-political issues.

🎭 SOUTHALL’S THREE JOKERS — AND NOBODY’S LAUGHING!
Deirdre Costigan, Superintendent Sean Lynch, and the third person pictured — residents deserve answers, not excuses! What’s the point of respect orders if nobody enforces them?
🔥 LESS TALK, MORE ACTION!

Replying to @deirdrecostigan @LabourSJ
Deirdre seems somewhat childlike in her championing of Respect Orders. There are insufficient police on the streets and it seems implausible that the prisons will be filled with people who have breached their Respect Orders. The CPS has a backlog of cases. #Southall – at Hounslow, London

The cllrs don't reply to residents' emails and meet with them in surgeries. Surgeries haven't been held in Southall Green since 2020 and didn't resume after COVID restrictions ended. Southall is crumbling rapidly on their watch and they have left residents to fend for themselves. – at Hounslow, London
