✈️ The momentum continues. P4HR welcomes Dr. Chuck Denison, Ph.D. — aviation neuropsychologist, forensic psychologist, human-factors expert and longtime pilot — to our Advisory Board. Serious reform requires serious clinical voices at the table. pilotsforhimsreform.org/?pag… #P4HR #AviationMedicine #HumanFactors

The NTSB granted the FAA summary judgment in MacEwen v. FAA. But the ruling did NOT identify a relapse, positive test, or new safety event. The judge acknowledged substantial favorable recovery evidence — yet held the record insufficient because no qualified evaluator expressly concluded it supported unrestricted certification. And there was no evidentiary hearing. So the larger question is: If clinicians supplied the clinical evidence and the FAA supplied its recovery factors, why wasn’t that enough to require a hearing? P4HR is not simply a group of people who “failed HIMS.” We include pilots, air traffic controllers, families, and supporters with diverse aeromedical experiences. Being dissatisfied doesn't make someone wrong. Evaluate the evidence. Not the messenger. pilotsforhimsreform.org/?pag…

One gift. One challenge. A supporter gave P4HR $5,000 — and challenged our community to raise the next $5,000. 100 people × $50 = goal reached. The first $5K is already here. Let’s turn it into $10K. pilotsforhimsreform.org/?pag… #P4HR #HIMSReform

Twenty-five years later, we remember. The 2,977 lives lost. The passengers and crews. The first responders. The families who still carry the loss. We honor their courage, their sacrifice, and their memory. We will not forget. 🇺🇸 pilotsforhimsreform.org/?pag…

We came to Denver prepared to challenge HIMS. We didn’t expect some of the strongest arguments for reform to come from inside the room: “Recovery is not abstinence.” “Recovery cannot be achieved by just drug testing.” So when has a recovered pilot done enough? FACT CHECK: @PilotMHCampaign calls itself “the only advocacy group dedicated to creating a modern aeromedical system.” It isn’t. P4HR is actively pursuing FAA rulemaking, legislative reform, HIMS oversight, due process, objective monitoring standards & unrestricted certification for pilots and ATC. Our FAA petition is officially docketed: FAA-2026-10399 P4HR grew from an informal network of pilots and controllers sharing experiences with the aeromedical system before we formally organized. Mental-health reform cannot only address entering the system. It must address what happens once you’re inside it. PMHC is an advocacy group. It is not the only one. #HIMSReform #AeromedicalReform #PilotMentalHealth

🇺🇸 This Labor Day, remember: pilots are workers, too. Our careers support families and keep America connected. We deserve an aeromedical system that is transparent, evidence-based, accountable & fair. And this week, P4HR takes that fight to the HIMS Seminar. We’re bringing the evidence, the data, our members’ voices and concrete reform proposals. We’re prepared to ask the hard questions. ✈️ Stronger pilots. 🛡️ Safer skies. ⚖️ A fairer system. We also need your support. This fight takes real resources. If you believe in HIMS reform, please help us keep going. Reform works when we stand together. pilotsforhimsreform.org #P4HR #HIMSReform #LaborDay #AviationSafety

New P4HR Investigation HIMS told the National Academies that selected treatment-center arrangements could waive “medical necessity criteria and ASAM treatment criteria” for 28+ day pilot treatment. That raises serious clinical, ethical, insurance & oversight questions. Read: pilotsforhimsreform.org/?pag… #HIMS #FAA #PilotMentalHealth #AviationSafety

When the Regulator Becomes the Adversary Can FAA medical authority become leverage against a pilot who challenges the agency? Our new deep dive examines 40+ years of federal case law, current aeromedical disputes, retaliation concerns, agency discretion, due process, and the ongoing DOT OIG HIMS audit. FAA authority is broad. It is not unlimited. pilotsforhimsreform.org/?pag… #P4HR #HIMSReform #FAAMedical

Judge Couch ordered the FAA to disclose its recovery criteria. The FAA responded with a “non-exhaustive” list. So the question remains: What else is there? FAA counsel has now been asked to cure the ambiguity by Aug. 26—or defend the response before the judge. pilotsforhimsreform.org/?pag… #P4HR #FAA #HIMS

BREAKING: FAA SAYS THERE IS “NO SET FORMULA OR CHECKLIST” FOR RECOVERY The FAA has responded to NTSB-ordered discovery. We now know: • 17 recovery factors identified • No single factor is determinative • “No set formula or checklist” • Factors originally used for Special Issuance are also used for unrestricted certification • FAA can identify 6 qualifying pilots since Apr. 22, 2024 • FAA says its database cannot readily determine the actual total Judge Couch ordered the FAA to state the number. The FAA identified six — but did not say six is the number. And questions remain about the documents establishing the standard actually applied. Pilots deserve to know what evidence gets them to unrestricted certification. Full analysis + primary sources: pilotsforhimsreform.org/?pag… #P4HR #FAA #NTSB #HIMS #Aviation

WE FILED. P4HR has formally petitioned the FAA for rulemaking under 14 C.F.R. Part 11. We are asking for enforceable aeromedical reform: • No indefinite monitoring • A real path to unrestricted certification • Current, individualized evidence • Independent medical review • Written reasons and due process • Defensible testing standards • Independent random testing • Equal access for GA and self-sponsored pilots • Transparent clinical standards We aren’t simply identifying the problems anymore. We’ve proposed the rules. And alongside the Petition stands the P4HR Act of 2026. One mission. Two fronts. Read both: P4HR FAA Rulemaking Petition and P4HR Act #P4HR #HIMS #FAA #AeromedicalReform
