I fully understand why David prayed for God to create in him a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him. Sometimes, the greatest battle is not with the people around us but with what is happening inside us. You can have a good heart and still need God to work on your attitude, your thoughts, your reactions and the things you struggle to control.

I hope we never become too busy to notice ordinary blessings. A quiet morning. A working body. A peaceful house. A good meal. A familiar voice. Good sleep. Safe roads. Things we once prayed for without realizing it.

Nobody talks about the fact that Jesus wept at Lazarus's tomb.
He knew He was about to raise him from the dead.
He knew the miracle was seconds away.
And He still stopped and cried with the people who were grieving.
John 11:35
God doesn't skip your pain to get to your miracle.
He sits in it with you first

I love David because he was so brutally honest with God about his feelings. He didnβt pretend to have it all together. He cried, questioned, felt afraid, angry and discouraged, yet he kept bringing it all back to God. That reminds me that I donβt have to hide my feelings from Him either. I can come as I am, pour out my heart, ask the hard questions and still trust Him. God can handle the messy prayers too. π€

Please capitalize the βGβ when you talk about my God. Yes, itβs that serious.
God will literally sit you down and break you to humble you, then will isolate you to build you. Then God will give you back everything far beyond what you lost to prove to you God is real and that everything is for a reason. Keep your trust in God.

PLEASE pray about everything ! Your mood swings, your temper, your ego, your insecurities, your mindset, your self love, your emotional state, your environment, your relationships, your lack of motivation, your lack of execution, your attraction to bad people! PRAY ABOUT IT ALL !

Never limit your prayer just because you think you're sinful or undeserving. You're not praying because of who you are - you're praying because of who He is!
