Today, L&I employees joined individuals using white canes for a walk from the L&I building to the Capitol to celebrate White Cane Day and honor the independence and achievements of people who are blind or visually impaired.
In Pennsylvania, L&I’s @PA_OVR and the Bureau of Blindness and Visual Services (BBVS) help make that independence possible by providing skills, technology, and support to help people live and work confidently.
Reminder: Under PA’s White Cane Law, drivers must yield and stop if necessary for anyone using a white cane or guide animal.
