The Authority is keen to engage the Non-Profit Organizations (NPO)/ Public Benefit Organizations (PBO) sector on various issues with a view to enhancing Sector performance.
Today, the Authority had a robust engagement with the members of the Coast Civil Society Network for Human Rights (CCSNHR) and those of the NPO Working Group on the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) at Premium Inn, Mombasa, on a number of legal, regulatory, and policy issues in the Sector.
We also had a discussion on the protection of the Sector against the risk of terrorism financing (TF) abuse.
Representatives of the Authority appreciated the good work Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) are doing and emphasised the government's commitment to providing a facilitative environment for the organizations across the country.^RC

*PS Dr. Belio Kipsang visits PBORA exhibition stand*
Principal Secretary of the State Department of Immigration and Citizenship Services, Dr Belio Kipsang today visited our exhibition stand during the Mashujaa Thematic Week, where we explained the Authority's services available through the e-Citizen platform
During the visit, Dr Kipsang sought to understand the range of services offered by the Authority through e-Citizen, underscoring the importance of digital platforms in increasing access to government services and improving service delivery.
Our services are on the e-Citizen platform, providing a convenient and accessible channel for members of the public and organizations. Through this platform, stakeholders can access the Authority's services online, supporting efficiency, transparency and a more seamless service-delivery experience.
Through our participation in Mashujaa Thematic Week exhibitions, we continue to raise public awareness of our mandate, our services and educate stakeholders on the regulatory framework governing PBOs in Kenya.
The Authority is committed to strengthening information sharing, facilitating compliance with the Public Benefit Organizations Act, 2013, and supporting the development of a vibrant and sustainable public benefit sector. ^ MN

Mashujaa Day 2026 Thematic Week at Eldoret National Polytechnic.
The Public Benefit Organizations Regulatory Authority has joined other state corporations in exhibiting its services ahead of this year's Mashujaa Day celebrations, set for 20th October 2026 in Eldoret , Uasin Gishu county.
Principal Secretary for Interior and Administration Dr Raymond Omollo, Deputy Inspector General of the National Police Service Eliud Langat, and Deputy Inspector General of the Administration Police Service Gilbert Masengeli graced the preparations.
Dr Omollo emphasised that security agencies alone cannot guarantee security. Members of the public and local communities also play an important role in preventing crime, sharing information, and maintaining peace.
He explained that national celebrations give the government opportunities to engage citizens, communicate its programmes, and bring public services closer to the people. He cited services involving national identification documents, passports, and eCitizen platforms as examples citizens can learn about by engaging with government institutions.
Through this engagement, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering collaboration, strengthening partnerships, and highlighting the vital role of PBOs in community development and nation-building.
In 2022, H.E. President @WilliamsRuto set a bold national target: planting 15 billion trees by 2032 under the National Landscape and Ecosystem Restoration Programme. Reaching that target requires concerted national effort.
On this Mazingira Day our Director, Dr @Laxmana_Kiptoo, led the Authority staff to participate in a tree planting exercise presided over by the Agriculture PS Dr Paul Rono at the Ngong Road Forest where more than 500 seedlings were planted.
However, to meaningfully advance the president's National Landscape and Ecosystem Restoration Programme, we have pledged to adopt an acre of Ngong Road Forest land, where we will grow trees.
Together with the @KeForestService and PBOs, we will support reforestation and afforestation across the country.
Conserving our environment secures a better future for generations to come.
Happy #MazingiraDay ^EK
The Authority joins fellow Kenyans in celebrating Mazingira Day. As we promote an enabling environment for a sustainable PBO sector, we encourage all stakeholders to embrace environmental conservation through tree planting, responsible waste management, water conservation, and sustainable practices.
Happy Mazingira Day!
