Engaging with stakeholders is important for the PCAOB to effectively execute on our mission. Thanks to the @ICI Independent Directors Council for hosting me yesterday and allowing me to provide an update on our efforts to improve audit quality and protect investors.
Last week, I concluded a productive four-day working visit to China, where I became the first PCAOB Chairman to observe a PCAOB inspection in the country. I was also pleased to meet with @USAmbChina in Beijing. In meetings with Chinese counterparts, we discussed ongoing cooperation in audit oversight, the importance of the PCAOB's continued complete access in China, and the role of audit quality and transparent oversight in supporting global capital markets. linkedin.com/pulse/pcaob-cha…
