A week ago I passed my viva! It's taken a few days for that to sink in!
A huge thank you to my supervisor @ryankean29 and my peers at @GCU_BIO @SHIPGCU. It's been a wild ride (not least because C. auris is scary 😂) but I'm so proud of myself for getting through it 🍄🦠

🏆 | Bioscientist Dr Will Johnston is ending the year on a high after being awarded £20,000 from Tenovus Scotland medical research charity to boost his research into discovering new antimicrobials to treat bacterial vaginosis.

It was great to hear about @DeeptiKC31's research into differences between perceptions of #IPC implementation in Scotland and Nepal. The importance of #Nurses in #IPC cannot be understated!
Last month our research students from SHIP participated in the inaugural GCU SHLS PGR Conference, where @DeeptiKC31 presented her latest findings on the role of #Nurses in #IPC during the #COVID19 pandemic.
