🚨LATEST DISPATCH🚨
For centuries the world defined politics by ethno-cultural lines. The 20th century is an anomaly: the only time ideology defined the world. With the cold war and its ideological struggles over, we begin a return to the era of identity politics. Link Below ⬇️

Charles Guiteau is one of the more obscure Presidential assassins, but his story is interesting.
He deluded himself into thinking he’d been instrumental in Garfield’s election to the Presidency, when all he did was give a few speeches to a few small audiences.
Guiteau believed he was owed a prestigious federal job as a reward for his efforts. When no job materialized, he went to DC to petition for one. He was rebuked by the Garfield Administration (rightfully so). Everyone in the Garfield Administration pegged Guiteau as an emotionally unstable and incompetent individual who would fuck up any assignment given. There is some evidence that Guiteau suffered from a personality disorder.
Guiteau’s rejection caused him to spiral further into delusions of grandeur, and, convinced of his own greatness and his sense of destiny, drove him to commit a public act of self destruction—he fatally shot Garfield on July 2nd, 1881.
Those who delude themselves and think themselves “influential” or believe themselves to be “elites” (without really knowing what goes into being an elite) should learn Guiteau’s story and engage in some self reflection lest they too commit a public act of self destruction.
Own the flag. Own the nation.
"'Entered legally' is doing a lot of work here"
Update from the Seys:
“My husband Samuel Sey entered the United States legally and has been working ever since in good faith with a lawyer to obtain permanent legal status. Our family is trying to understand what went wrong in the process. In the spirit of Romans 13, our family fully supports and respects American law and are prayerfully working to get him home through the legal process.”
PATRIOT
The question of our age is "who are we" and the answer cannot be "people who happen to have a piece of paper that says theyre a citizen." A deep question like this deserves a much deeper answer than that.

The idea that if you stop voting for republicans, they will "learn a lesson" that they could get move votes by moving to the right is badly flawed
The assumption that the consultant class makes is that the distribution of political opinion is normal and unimodal. When you stop showing up, they draw 2 things from this: Fewer votes is evidence that we moved too far to the right, and the most dense part of the curve is now closer to the dems, and when we measure it, the right tail is thinner than we thought
You can scream at them all day that the distribution is becoming increasingly bimodal, which completely changes the calculus, but they are set in their ways. You have only 2 ways to remedy this: show up to vote republican, or become the person making the assumptions. Get involved, Patriot

"The takeaway from a Republican loss has never been and will never be that we need the movement to be further to the right."
