Main Campus: KIU and Private Education Development Network (PEDN) Explore a Partnership
Kampala International University today (Monday, October 19th, 2026), explored a formal partnership with the Private Education Development Network (PEDN), a Ugandan NGO that integrates financial education, life skills and entrepreneurial learning into education systems.
KIU Vice Chancellor Prof. Ngoma Muhammed welcomed the proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). He said it would strengthen entrepreneurship, financial literacy and employability among students, and open up opportunities for research, innovation, internships and community transformation.
The MOU is expected to cover financial literacy, entrepreneurship education, community engagement, student internships and skills development, in line with KIU’s Competence-Based Education and Training (CBET) framework.
