I speak your language,
not just the words on your tongue
but the pause between them,
the sigh that says, "we are tired,"
the laugh that says, "we are still here."
I did not learn it in a lecture hall.
I learned it at the roadside, at the market stall,
at the funeral grounds and the festival squares.
So when you speak, I do not need a translator.
I hear the hunger inside the proverb,
the hope inside the greeting.
I am grass, and grass understands the wind.
I come from you, and I come to listen.

Hearty congratulations to all newly elected NDC constituency executives!
The grassroots have spoken. Lead with humility, unite the party and keep the base energised.
To comrades who didn't make it this time: thank you for stepping up. The NDC is still your home and your contribution still matters.
Let's stay united and keep supporting President Mahama's Reset Agenda.

1. Another promise kept. Another tangible achievement under the leadership of His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC government. Once again we have proven that the promise of a better Ghana is a lived reality.
2. Earlier today, the Ghana Armed Forces completed the clearing of the entire 175.6 km stretch of the Accra–Kumasi Expressway, delivered in just 19 weeks, ahead of the estimated 20-week timeline.
3. This is what purposeful governance looks like: creating jobs, easing transportation, and connecting our beloved nation for shared economic growth.
4. Let it be said again that the NDC is the party of action. While others talk, we deliver.
5. Kudos to Hon. Kwame Governs Agbodza (Minister for Roads and Highways), Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson (Minister for Finance), Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei (Minister for Defence), and the gallant Engineers of the Ghana Armed Forces for their professionalism, excellence, and can-do spirit.

Yesterday, we conducted a successful pilot for the Ghana Card with some Ghanaians living in the UK. This is not a walk-in service. Application is only available online at register.nia.gov.gh. You only visit the centre after completing the online process (including interview) which generates a QRCode for the applicant to be sent to the centre for biometric capture.
Thank you, HE Sabah Zita Benson, for hosting us. The NIA team will continue to engage your team on the roadmap.
Ghanaians living in ECOWAS, we hope to visit you next year, God willing.

Stop embarrassing yourself.
You should know the basic difference between a minimum processing period and a maximum processing period. Kids in class 2 know the difference.
Let me help you — a minimum processing period of 5 days means you cannot obtain your visa before 5 days.
Our new reset policy is a maximum of 5 days which means you shall obtain your visa within 5 days.
We are focused on resetting Ghana.
My friend Hon Foreign Minister, Kindly check the websites of our Embassies in Japan, Belgium, Italy, China and France among others. They all have 2-5 days as the duration for the processing and issuance of Ghana visas.
The only three countries you’ve listed ie USA, UK and Germany are outliers out of about 60 Ghana embassies spread across the world.
Even with the 3 countries you have listed, none of them have 6 weeks as the period for processing and issuance of Ghana visas.
For ease of reference I have attached the processing days of some of our embassies.
Get to work Hon Foreign Minister. Enough of the propaganda….

Dear @flyafricaworld ,
I just boarded your flight from kumasi to Accra and wish to commend you for your services.
However, I noticed after the Pilot had given us some information. It was translated into the "TWI" language again for natives to understand. I'm sure this was done because the plane had left the powerful land of the Ashanti Kingdom and hence the need to get all abridged considering the language barrier (if any).
I must admit the translation was done beautifully.
In recent past, I also boarded your flight from Tamale to Accra but didn't witness same translation into the local language, Dagbani since the departure point was Tamale and thus the great land of the Ya-Naa.
I can't tell for Ho (Ewe), Takoradi (Fante) and Wa (Waala) since I haven't used your services there before.
I am by this, calling for same beautiful translation into the local languages of areas you use to help in the language barrier since I sometimes find some persons unable to comprehend what instructions are being given at some point.
This is my humble appeal!

We got him!
Bright Mensah Bonsu, the man who received US$1.5million cash and signed documents purporting to sell a prime diplomatic property belonging to Ghana’s High Commission in Nigeria has finally been arrested by Ghanaian security operatives.
Bright Mensah Bonsu describes himself as a special aide to former Ghana High Commissioner to Nigeria, the late Alhaji Rashid Bawa who was appointed by President Akufo-Addo.
It is important to emphasize that the US$1.5million cash was not paid into government accounts neither is there any record at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the cash was officially declared.
Documents reveal that Bright Mensah Bonsu and his collaborators had valued the prime Lagos beachfront diplomatic property at US$5.3million and considered the US$1.5million payment as the first installment. The outcome of the 2024 elections must have thwarted their plans.
We are also investigating the circumstances under which Bright Mensah Bonsu was issued a diplomatic passport on October 18, 2023 by the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government when from all assessments, he could not have been eligible for a diplomatic passport.
Bright Mensah Bonsu was not a staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Ghana High Commission in Nigeria even though he was often seen in the company of the High Commissioner.
As we await criminal prosecution shortly, it would be interesting to see how Mr. Mensah Bonsu backs his claims that he acted on the instructions of his superiors, and that those superiors gave him access to documents on the diplomatic property.
This latest significant development should send clear assurances to Nigerian government officials and the Nigerian attempted buyer who have all desperately petitioned the Mahama government demanding our intervention, that consistent with what we have always said, we take this matter very seriously and will do everything in our power to bring the notorious criminals to justice and recover the US$1.5million.
The Mahama administration would not shield anyone who played a role in this grand conspiracy not only to commit crime but to dent Ghana’s enviable international image.
The Government of Ghana is equally determined not to allow this condemnable incident to mar our great and ancestral bilateral relations with Nigeria.
We promised that justice will be done, we are keeping our word.
Let me state for the umpteenth time, no diplomatic property belonging to the people of Ghana is for sale — severe consequences awaits anyone who tests our resolve.
For God and Country 🇬🇭 🙏
