An estimated 15,000 transgender people currently serve in the military and the Court’s action today puts their entire careers and livelihoods into question. They deserve our respect and gratitude, not to be banned from service.

This is an affront to justice & civil rights. Current and retired senior leaders across all four military branches have decried the ban, recognizing the service of trans people benefits the military & has no negative impact on morale. #TransMilitaryBan cnn.com/2018/06/14/politics/…

You cannot eradicate me! I am here! I am undeterred! My true self is a living, breathing, loving, human being. These things you cannot and will not take away from me, for they are embedded in my soul and in my spirit! And with PFLAG and others, I know I’m not alone. #WontBeErased

The mere notion that a government, any government, expresses desire to enact rules that erase and endanger an entire group of individuals is to disregard the very values that #PFLAG was founded on: Love, Respect, Compassion.
