Jordyn Brooks says young Dolphins team is delusional, feels like they'll win every game they play:
"We've got to start somewhere. I hope for the young guys this gives them hope, this is what it's like to win in this league.
We've got a bunch of warriors. I know a bunch of people from the outside don't believe that because of the record, but the locker room is made of a lot of dawgs. A lot of guys who are mentally tough, eventually the fruits of our labor will be shown to everybody."

Good people at the flamingo.
Found this dope local bar in Lil Havana called The Dead Flamingo.
It’s owned by the bartenders. I’m told the best time to show up is Tuesday and Thursday night at 8pm.
It has every kinda lane, and fun people. Live bands regularly.

My Takeaways From The Miami Dolphins 28-25 Week 7 Win Over The New York Jets:
• Easily Malik Willis’ best performance as a Miami Dolphin, especially in the first half where he was sharp, decisive and throwing strikes. Was he as lights out in the second half as he was in the first? No but he made the throw to Caleb Douglas when he needed to and it wasn’t his decision for the play calling to be conservative. It felt like we saw some real growth from him too, especially with how he was willing to take what the defense gave him, especially in the first half. Now it’s about stacking these performances more consistently and continuing to grow. Loved what I saw - more of the Malik I saw on the GB film than I saw in the first 5 games.
• Bobby Slowik was a little too conservative with the lead at times in the second half but I thought he called a good game otherwise, especially in the first half but love the run/pass balance he stuck to
• Ollie Gordon may be the heart of this offense right now. He looks more and more like 2023 Heisman Ollie with every game.
• Caleb Douglas. Wow. Talk about making the most of your opportunities, unbelievable. What a return.
• Greg Dulcich was 2 yards away from breaking his own personal single game receiving yards record and didn’t record a single catch in the second half due to a lack of targets. Baffling.
• Chris Bell stiff arming multiple defenders on a screen was awesome
• Kadyn Proctor continues to be an absolute monster in the trenches and really, the offensive line was once again good…
• Austin Jackson getting beat off the snap by Nate Lynn on third down for a sack is a story we are all too familiar with, dude needs to go
• Jeff Hafley’s defense started off rough but eventually settled in, can’t say enough about how he’s had the defense prepared and ready to play. Happy he’s got his first of hopefully many wins under his belt.
• Chop Robinson is getting better week by week as he gets more and more comfortable in Hafley’s defense
• Malik Herring lowkey made some good plays yesterday for the Dolphins
• Zach Sieler continues to play very well
• Yesterday was only the second time this season that Jordyn Brooks finished with more tackles in a game than Jacob Rodriguez
• Chris Johnson is a baller man, he’s getting better and better each week. That call against him to negate his first INT was SAWFT
• Juju Brents is playing good football right now and most of all, he’s staying healthy, I love it
• I think Jason Marshall Jr. has had more downs than ups this season and Mason Taylor mossing him won’t help but what can he do there? Not his fault just got beat by a great throw and catch
• Michael Taaffe makes another big play with his second INT of the season but still needs build out his strength and body, too many of his tackle attempts are being shed and he got beat in coverage for the second Mason Taylor touchdown and the 2 PT conversion
• Dante Trader Jr. showing some toughness returning to the game after his injury, hope he’s okay long term
Big W for the Dolphins but can they keep stacking wins? Can Willis keep stacking good performances? Can Bobby Slowik keep making life easier for Willis and the offense? Can Ollie keep shouldering the load as the heartbeat of the offense?
Miami has another division rival on deck with the Patriots who pose a tougher challenge than the Jets from coaching to personnel.
At the end of the day, none of us believed they would go 0-17 nor did any of us want to see that, personally, I wanted them to be competitive and yesterday was more than that, it’s a win so I’m ecstatic.
At this point it’s about taking it one game at a time and hoping we see the week to week growth from all the young players on this roster as they become foundational pieces to this organization’s future. #PhinsUp

@fletcherjr_mark
This is pretty tough.
I don’t know if he’s the guy, but I like him.
Jeff Hafley looked each Dolphins offensive lineman in the eye and asked them if they wanted to go for it on 4th & 1 and the end of the Jets game. And at that moment he knew they'd finish it.

"What do you do with your team to try to establish consistency and performance when everybody's shooting at you?
You go at 'em right between the eyes with truth, honesty, and transparency.
You make practices really challenging.
You make sure you highlight all the areas you gotta get better at and make it real clear if we don't get better at those things, we won't be able to accomplish our goals."
Been trying to tell you guys.
