I was able to ask #Pistons G Jaden Ivey about what’s driven him most to power through several challenges in his early career: “In this business I feel what can get lost is your identity.” “Every time you step out on that court you want to be the best you can be. But what if those things don’t happen? What if those dreams don’t happen. I’ve had to go through a lot of things since my rookie year looking back at it.” “My identity rests in a man who died for me and went through humiliating things for me and His name is Jesus Christ.” “I don’t look at basketball as everything, but who I am as a man of God first.” “Through the course of my career I’ve been through so much but my family has been a support and my wife has been amazing.” “They’ve been the most impactful in my journey as an athlete and a person.”
