Peter Rednall

My boyhood hero & a simply fantastic keeper for England & Derby. A master of his craft with a brilliant all-round game. A model of consistency with incredible longevity at the very highest level. A true goalkeeping legend 👏🙌. I will never forget how much I idolised him as a boy

My Album of the Day is Talk On Corners by The Corrs A true masterpiece & work of art. Sublime musicianship & songs from start 2 finish Getting this for Xmas 98 coincided with me getting my first ever practice drum kit. I learnt 2 play drums playing along to this. So much fun

youtu.be/_W2jONIjrM0?si=iPNT…. My song choice today is from Bryan Adams.

When trying 2 overcome an affliction. Whether it be physical or in the mind 1 of the hardest things 2 accept is that it will never completely dissappear. As nature abhors a vacuum You have to learn 2 control it & live with it & not fight it. Just like King George VI did.

Just got the 1.10 at Wetherby on the TV. A horse called Marty McFly won it. What a great name for a horse.

My Mr Badger Quote of the Day is .... When Toad goes to bed early .... 'Hmmm .... well, I was merely thinking that Toad's exhaustion has come upon him very suddenly 🤔? I wonder? perhaps i'm wrong. Well now, who's for a game of whist?'. From the episode- Winter Haunts

My Film of the Day is Sleepy Hollow. One of my all-time favourite movies. So, so good 👍.

My Album of the Day is Behind The Mask by Fleetwood Mac. Overshadowed in many ways by their others albums this is a very underrated hidden gem. Love Is Dangerous Affairs of the Heart When the Sun Goes Down Behind The Mask Hard Feelings & When It Comes To Love

youtu.be/UkekqVPIc2M?si=c2do…. My song choice today is from Electric Light Orchestra.

Sebastian definitely won it for the faithfuls by persuading Romesh to vote for Kenny Very well played by Romesh as well I had a tear 😢 when Alan Carr won last time & it was the same when Sebastian & Romesh celebrated their joint win. A fitting finale #TheCelebrityTraitors

My Album of the Day is Familiar To Millions by Oasis. This was recorded on the Friday night & I saw them on the Saturday night. Such a wonderful gig. It was my first ever gig as well. The live version of Go Let It Out, truly is the bees knees. A simply brilliant Album.

youtu.be/Xg9Wqs4vjZM?si=ZhYB…. My song choice today is from Utah Saints.

youtu.be/PHP3Jih_rfA?si=NR7h… This is one of my all-time favourite scenes from one of my all-time favourite tv programmes. As good as TV gets. The best of the best. Absolute TV Gold.

Rest in Peace Patrick Stewart. I will remember you as Professor X. You had so much wisdom and intelligence. A truly great man.

#CelebrityTraitors Respect & Honour to James Acaster. You played a first class game. Michael Sheen, I think your time is now up. When you were described as the Father of the Round Table. My first thought, was of the legendary Father of the House - David Lloyd George

Patrick in #BBCGhosts absolutely loves a scotch egg. I absolutely loved that ending.

My Movie of the Day is The Others. Superb acting, very clever & very subtle. It is very much, less is more & it works so well. It's as much about what you don't see, as what you do see. Such a good movie. One of my all-time favourite movies.

youtu.be/PHP3Jih_rfA?si=G_6a…. On seeing this I immediately thought of this classic scene from Life On Mars. An absolute favourite scene of mine. As good as TV gets.

My Album of the Day is A Bigger Bang by the Rolling Stones from 2005. I got this album after Starbucks seemed to play Rain Fall Down from it, literally everyday back in 2005. It is my favourite song from it as well. A great album.

It certainly was in our family home.

youtu.be/EaleKN9GQ54?si=9Saq…. My song choice today is from Janet Jackson.
