Saw this on Facebook the other day and wanted to share bc I resonate with it deeply:
Someone saw me wearing my Eagles jacket and jokingly said, âHow are you wearing that? Theyâre garbage.â
My first instinct? Throat punch. Obviously. đ
But it actually got me thinking about something Iâve always believedâŠLOYALTY.
Itâs one of the most important qualities a person can have. And I think being a sports fan teaches you a hell of a lot about it.
Because anybody can cheer when youâre winningâŠand Iâm not just talking about in a game.
Anybody can stand beside you when life is good, the scoreboard is in your favor and everything is going your way.
But what about when youâre losing in life?
When things get ugly? When everyone else has an opinion about why you arenât worth cheering for anymore?
Whoâs still standing there?
Thatâs what I pay attention to in life.
I donât have a lot of patience for people whose loyalty depends on how well things are going. The ones who love you when youâre successful but suddenly become spectators when youâre struggling.
The ones who want a seat at your table when youâre winning but canât be bothered to check on you when youâre barely holding it together.
Iâve never understood that.
Because the people I love? Iâm in. All the way.
You can have a bad season. You can make mistakes. You can fall flat on your face. You can go through a stretch where absolutely nothing seems to go right.
Iâm not going anywhere.
Now, that doesnât mean I wonât tell you when youâre screwing up. Trust me, I will. Just ask anyone who has ever watched an Eagles game with me.
But thereâs a difference between holding someone accountable and abandoning them when theyâre no longer winning.
And I think weâve gotten those two things confused.
Loyalty isnât proven when everything is easy. Itâs proven when staying would be a whole lot harder than leaving.
I want people in my corner who donât need me to be having a winning season to believe in me.
And thatâs exactly the kind of person I try to be for the people I love.
So yeah, Iâll wear my Eagles jacket proudly. Good season, bad season, embarrassing season. Whatever.
Because Iâm the same with my team as I am with my people.
I ride until the wheels fall off.
And when they do? Iâm running beside you.

Ridiculous, we have played horribly bad football on both sides of the ball - especially on the high paid defensive side. Tonight was just sad. Injuries or not, they look awful and the depth is not as good as they thought it was! Time to sell Howie!

Really disappointed in the Eagles pass rush. A lot of highly paid, talented players up front and they've been underwhelming all year, especially tonight.
Entering week 7, Philadelphia's pass rush ranked:
Pressure rate: 29nd
Sack rate: 31st
Quick pressure rate: 32nd

He was a special hitter who got it done at the highest level. Would love to see him coaching in the league one day.
I would like to see Bobby Abreu become #Phillies hitting coach or for any #MLB team.
He was such a great hitter with tremendous patience & plate discipline that it's something that should happen.

ABC World News is crazy đ shows you how impactful of a person Jalen is.
Jalen Hurts, the Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback, is out for the rest of the season after doctors discovered a blood clot in his leg and clots in both his lungs. The former Super Bowl MVP is expected to make a full recovery. @RhiannonAlly has details. abcworldnewstonight.visitlinâŠ

Ele prometeu TUDO a Philadelphia. E cumpriu.
