I can’t help but be cynical. I’ve seen this “blue wave” before. As recently as 21018 & 2020. How many “blue waves”do they need and what are they gonna do differently this time? Representation doesn’t move me anymore, actions do. I need to see action before I celebrate anything.

Pre-WFH: spend 90 minutes on shower, hair, makeup, commute. WFH: sleep an extra 30, and spend 60mins on Quiet Coffee Hour on my porch. I haven't had a resurgence of my lifelong battle with depression since WFM started. But yeah I'm probably miserable.

I'm never going to be worried about anyone faking a disability to get on benefits and it's not even because that barely even happens (which is true, basically no one does this). It's bc disability benefits, esp SSI, is far less than I think any human deserves, period.
