You should never have to be ashamed of being Catholic.
In a world where faith is often mocked or misunderstood, it's easy to stay quiet just to avoid upsetting someone. But following Jesus was never about winning everyone's approval.
Being proud of our Catholic faith doesn't mean thinking we're better than anyone else. It means loving Christ, standing by His Church, and refusing to hide what we believe.
Jesus said, βWhoever acknowledges me before others, I will acknowledge before my heavenly Fatherβ (Matthew 10:32).
Our faith is something worth living for, defending with love, and passing on to the next generation.
π¬ Have you ever felt pressured to hide your Catholic faith just to fit in?
Someone else may need the courage to stand firm in their faith today. βοΈ

Who first called the Old and New Testaments "the Bible"? A Catholic bishop, St. John Chrysostom, around 387 AD.
Who chose its books? Catholic councils.
Who copied it for 1,000 years? Catholic monks.
Then the βReformationβ demoted seven books and called the rest "Scripture alone."

These 5 Bible verses made me Catholic.
When I was first seriously considering Christianity in my 20s, I found the Protestant arguments persuasive.
The Catholic ones were more persuasive.
And the Protestant answers to these 5 fell flat on their faces π§΅

1. Luke 1:33
The angel Gabriel tells the Blessed Virgin Mary she's going to have a son named Jesus.
And he says this:
"He will reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there will be no end."
Did you hear that?

Whatever kingdom Jesus establishes, God Himself says it will never end.
That's the kingdom that lasts until the end of the world.
That's the kingdom you and I should be a part of.
So which kingdom did He establish?
P.Odrowaz πΊπΈπ΅π± retweeted
Jesus builds His Church on the foundation of the apostles.
He hands the kingdom over to them:
"I assign to you, as my Father assigned to me, a kingdom." (Luke 22:29)
So after the apostles die, does the kingdom die?
No. Of His kingdom there will be no end.

In Acts 1, the apostles fill Judas's place:
"His office let another take." (Acts 1:20)
And St. Clement of Rome, writing in the first century, says the apostles appointed men to succeed them when they died.
The kingdom gets handed on.

The Father gives the Son an everlasting, visible kingdom.
The Son gives it to the apostles.
The apostles hand it to their successors.
Yes, it's spiritual. But spiritual doesn't mean invisible.
I have a spirit. I pray. But you can see me.

So which churches were around in 33 AD?
Luther wasn't born until 1483. Calvin, 1509.
They didn't start the kingdom of God.
They started a counter-kingdom and called it the kingdom of God.
Want the kingdom Jesus started? Be in union with the apostles' successors.

2. Mark 16:17
"And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons."
The Catholic Church has priests appointed by their bishops as exorcists.
Their day job is getting demons out of people.
But here's the key:
P.Odrowaz πΊπΈπ΅π± retweeted
Yes, Protestant pastors can sometimes cast out demons in Jesus' name.
Jesus even says of a man doing it outside the apostles: "Do not forbid him." (Mark 9:39)
But in my experience, when they hit a demon they can't get out, where do they send the person?
To the Catholic Church.
