When you’re someone who loves with their whole heart, life eventually teaches you how to detach with your whole soul.
You are a gift to those who are lucky enough to be loved by you and be in the presence of your unforgettable energy. You always go over and beyond to make those you love feel adored, appreciated, wanted, needed and happy.
You had to learn the hard way that people take this for granted. People will keep taking while you keep giving.
People won’t always reciprocate what you give, but you never expect anything in return because you always give so freely. And, it’s because that’s who you are.
Loving others, being kind to others, giving to others, helping others, lifting up others… it’s just how you are, and it genuinely brings you joy.
But, then there comes a point where people cross the line. This is where the lessons are learned. When someone is unnecessarily cruel, purposely hurts your feelings, clearly uses you, betrays you, lies to you or on you, and consistently tries to destroy the beautiful energy that you so naturally emanate and generously give… there comes a point where enough is enough.
That’s what forces you to set and enforce fierce and strict boundaries. That’s when you learn to take your energy back. That’s when you learn to call all of your power back. That’s when you learn how to deny access to you and your energy to those who don’t deserve it.
People have to learn the hard way that the once extraordinary, loving, giving you is now gone when it comes to them. People have to have the painful realization that once you detach, it’s forever. The energetic cord is severed, and the soul contract is done because the lessons have been learned.
The harsh truth that remains is that they will never have access to the love you give with your whole heart ever again because you were forced to learn how to master detachment.
And for some people, losing access to that loving version of you forever is THEIR lesson and THEIR karma (whether they realize it and acknowledge it or not).
