I changed commission prices three times this year. I wished I left it alone at the starting price of $100.

I just have to say it bc I keep seeing you on my tl, when you price your art like that you hurt all artists. All of us. You have a fully rendered character illustration for $150, you should be raising that price especially with your skill. Instead you are attacking another artist

No professionally trained artist is teaching you to render out every detail. In fact, it's the opposite! Mainly because it's not efficient time/effort wise for overpainting. Some details can be left as is because you will not see them!

using my own art as an example, but genuinely all of these just look like a case of "this looks weird zoomed in but it gets the job done" 🧍 and also: sometimes artists make mistakes!!
let's not start witch hunts here, this industry's already hard enough as it is

Gotta say everyone in the industry knows each other some way…if you want a job in art I wouldn’t be criticizing other artists

I think the best site to “doomscroll” is tumblr
1. Remaining ppl on tumblr are 30 and have jobs
2. Can have posts with multiple paragraphs for nuanced thoughts instead of getting misinterpreted
3. No random people im not following on my feed
4. Mute system works better
