FAKE NEWS ALERT Commentator Javed Hassan (@javedhassan) and overseas anti-state propagandists are spreading a misleading narrative by selectively twisting media headlines to claim that the ECC approved Rs 1.094 billion for the purchase of a luxury executive jet for the Pakistan Army. This claim is ABSOLUTELY FAKE. The official PID handout (PR No. 40, November 4, 2026) makes no mention of purchasing any luxury executive jet. The Rs 1.094 billion allocation was for the induction and operationalisation expenses of a Lineage L-1000 aircraft. The allocation is being deliberately misrepresented to manufacture public resentment against Pakistan's armed forces.

Lineage L-1000 Misleading Claims Media claims alleging that the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) approved Rs 1.094 billion to purchase a luxury executive jet for the Pakistan Army are factually misleading and false. The official Press Information Department (PID) handout (PR No. 40, November 4, 2026) makes no mention of purchasing a luxury executive aircraft. Instead, it records the ECC's consideration of Defence Division summaries seeking Technical Supplementary Grants (TSGs) to meet essential operational requirements and support national security priorities. These included Rs 1.094 billion for the induction and operationalisation of a Lineage L-1000 aircraft, alongside Rs 54 billion for ongoing Defence Services projects and Rs 29.139 billion for Project Istaqlal. The amount has also been misrepresented as an aircraft purchase cost. Rs 1.094 billion is approximately $3.9 million, far below the aircraft's estimated original value of nearly $50 million. Embraer discontinued commercial production of the Lineage 1000 in August 2020. The aircraft platform is associated with Pakistan's Sea Sultan Long-Range Maritime Patrol Aircraft (LRMPA) programme, as well as related defence aviation requirements. The approved grant relates to induction and operationalisation expenses, not the purchase of a luxury VIP jet. The same media narrative conveniently overlooks the broader decisions taken during the November 4 ECC meeting. Of the approximately Rs 380 billion in approved financing, Rs 275 billion was allocated to critical public infrastructure and development projects, including the Diamer-Bhasha Dam, Mohmand Dam, Greater Karachi Water Supply Project (K-IV), Chashma Right Bank Canal and Kacchi Canal. Additionally, the ECC approved Rs 1 billion for gasification of rural villages near gas fields, extended gas supplies to fertilizer plants to support the agricultural sector, and transferred Rs 15.625 billion in savings generated through federal austerity and fuel-conservation measures to the Prime Minister's Austerity Fund 2026. The official ECC briefing, ECC Approves Key Financing and Sectoral Development Measures, provides the actual breakdown of the decisions and approved allocations.

Here, I see a son of a Jewish billionaire demanding sanctions on the Islamic Republic of Pakistan 🇵🇰 a move that could directly affect the lives of millions of Pakistanis. Funny how the same individual has never condemned Israel for human rights violations.
No government or international institution should fund Pakistan’s regime while it defies Supreme Court orders, subjects its democratically elected leader to isolation and torture, and opens fire on peaceful protesters. Human rights must be non-negotiable. (On a side note, funding these crooks will do nothing for the Pakistani people anyway. We all know it'll get split up and pocketed by the govt and the army)

Pakistan doesn't need to request permission from Afghanistan. We control their skies and dominate the ground. 🇵🇰
Flying over Afghanistan requires requesting permission via a Gmail account at least 48 hours in advance and paying a $700 fee. With no en-route air traffic control, pilots must broadcast their positions and intentions over radio and maintain separation themselves.
