People are having their faces torched, white families are being assaulted by mobs of migrant youth and you are dreaming of revolution?
The opening chapters of Capital are often reduced to nothing more than the "labour theory of value," where value being determined by SNLT is the "big twist."
The more important point for Marxists is WHY, under capitalism, labour must take the form of value in the first place 🧵
For the Italian Communist Left, the Communist Party is not simply an tactical organization; Marx derived its characteristics directly from the description of communist society and it actively prefigures that society and its tactics and organization reflect that.
Here's the why🧵
Why do Marxists critique modern rationalist philosophy? For György Lukács, it's because its central problems are the logical form of a historically specific social phenomenon: reification.
It starts from the idea that we know the world because we made it. 🧵
🧵 Debunking this left-"communist" Israeli and teaching them basic Marxism.
For starters, they purposely did NOT include my argument because it would show that the person I was debating literally AGREED with me.
Marx’s concept of "capital" is a specific social production relation that only exists when it is objectified in material things, such as means of production, commodities, money, gold, etc.
That is why Capital spends the bulk of its pages analyzing value, money, gold, the labor process, and the circuit of capital, while the vague phrase “social relations” appears relatively RARELY!
The Western left expands “social relations” into a free floating, performative, idealist slogan that absorbs unmarxist categories. They turn this concept into PURE subjectivity that avoids any concrete discussion of production ITSELF, and class composition.
They use it as a magic phrase devoid of any content while claiming to be "materialists".
For ACTUAL Communists, MARXIST LENINISTS (which is hilarious to see a bunch of so-called "MLs" boosting this leftcom ran Israeli account) actually seize and transform the productive apparatus rather than endlessly chanting “abolish social relations” like low-IQ dumb fucks. Without any grasp of contemporary political economy, how can one speak about "abolishing capitalist social relations"? It belongs nowhere in Marxism, and hence it isn't found in Marx's own writings.
