Artificial intelligence can be good news for jobs, the economy, and our public services.
But humans losing control of super intelligent systems that act without human instruction is clearly bad.
That’s why I’m calling for a new interparliamentary union on AI and a new multi-lateral treaty between governments on the safe development of superintelligence.

Bengaluru-London is closer than ever.
Weekly flights between BLR Airport and London Heathrow have grown from 7 in early 2024 to 34 today, giving travellers more choice, more flexibility and more ways to connect with one of the world’s most important cities.
During his visit, Mr. Chandru Iyer, British Deputy High Commissioner to Karnataka and His Majesty’s Deputy Trade Commissioner for Investment, South Asia, highlighted how this growth marks the beginning of even stronger ties between Bengaluru and the UK, especially with the UK-India Free Trade Agreement ahead.
The BLR-LHR route operated by @airindia, @British_Airways and @VirginAtlantic opens up smoother onward journeys through Heathrow to destinations across the world. Here’s to bringing two global cities closer together!

Some feedback to @airindia
Whilst the new aircrafts are good and the service on the aircraft is excellent, the coordination and communication of ground staff is abysmal when the delay or cancellation happens. Training of ground staff is paramount.
