My 3rd gas giant is coming together, trying lots of different shots! I'm gonna have to think of a name for it... 🤔 #b3d #spaceart #scifi #blender

Like so what if it takes me longer? I get to enjoy the process, have a good outcome, etc. All this fully AI directed stuff is a race to the bottom imho. Speed =/= good except from a single financial point of view, and art never benefits from financial pressure.

In some ways this stuff doesn't worry me too much. Personally I love making art and it's the long process of making it that makes a good piece. If someone can create something that has a veneer of looking good, it doesn't stop me making something better.

In fairness that is true. Blender's default implementation of AgX I find issues with red skews. Other edits like SB2383 and NR2383 I do use, but other programs such as Darktable have added blender's AgX and has no way to change the pipeline. It has been treated poorly I think.

I agree, AgX's red skews are super weird and I just don't use it for anything anymore. You can really tell when AgX has been used in those cases unfortunately.

I'm continually amazed by the detail you manage to do in the style you work with. How do you go about texturing all the elements and how long does something like this tend to take you?

New artwork out! I've spent the last few months learning Houdini and needed an excuse to try using some cloud volumes I created with it. (Link to more details in the comments. 👇) #b3d #houdini

🚨 Google continues to lobby the UK government to hand the work of the country's creatives to big tech companies for free. And it does so by misrepresenting US copyright law, suggesting companies can simply train AI models in the US (where in fact, far from AI training simply being legal, there are 100+ lawsuits currently going through the courts). The UK government should continue to resist this brazen demand for a handout of artists' work to the most powerful companies in the world. telegraph.co.uk/business/202…

Best way to get good at modelling the big stuff is to try modelling the big stuff!

100% with you on this. Machin3Tools is absolutely invaluable for serious blender use. It's my go-to recommendation for people I've worked with. Thanks for your commitment to continuous updates!
