Best weapon xp method if you need to level weapons is doing the first mission with squad fill off looting and killing the enemies inside the hospital and then taking the guaranteed exfil. Rinse repeat. Doing it with launchers and meleeing every enemey I got 17 levels in one mission.
Read through all of this and I agreed with everything. The perk imbalance is and map design were my main complaints. But you can only really fix one so quickly. I’m not a fan of tac sprinting but the game kinda needs it if you want fast ttk or lightweight or something. You absolutely need options for aggressive play and rn you either get heard across the map or move like a snail
My MW4 multiplayer thoughts so far now that it is officially released:
- Perk slots are extremely unbalanced and are causing the biggest problems with the game and maps (also specialist bonus should’ve been ready for release since it would be an easy fix)
- Field Upgrades feel useless and there should be a dead silence field upgrade that works the same as vanguards
- Ghost should not keep you off heartbeats and proximity sensors if you don’t need to be moving for the perk to work
- Ninja should be in perk 3 and perks should or could be moved around in general since perk 3 feels kinda weak compared to the other two slots
- Bloodrush speed/tac sprint should be default, can have the perk refresh your stamina and give you a little more if anything but game has lost a lot of momentum in the movement which is what I really liked about the beta, also mantle bounces are patched but you can finesse it sometimes but it feels like movement was intentionally changed to be worse but I could be wrong
- Bullet velocity is WAY too slow by default and this was noticeable in the beta as well
- Visual recoil and flinch feel weirdly high and I feel like the first shots on a a few weapons are much more inaccurate then get better which feels like they don’t want you running around into multiple engagements and would rather you shoot fish in a barrel (mounting with an AR or LMG into someone’s spawn or something)
- Attachments feel kinda boring and cookie cutter and and kind of apply to every gun similar to BO6
(Also why is there no Akimbo on the magnums or rapid fire attachments on some weapons etc)
- Weapons sprint out speed and especially slide to fire speed is pretty slow feeling to me personally
- Weapon prestiging seems useless to me since all you get is a camo but every gun also has that camo so at that point you could just get the mastery camos that are better without having to unlock every attachment for that weapon again from the beginning but maybe I’m missing something
- Also it feels like launchers take way too long to level up and the fact that you need them to be like level 46 to get them mastered is kinda crazy (felt like DMZ had much better XP gains over all)
- Speaking of weapons it also just seems way more worth it to play DMZ to do weapons and camos since you can just kill bots and do challenges for camos and progression while actually working towards something that will help with the DMZ mastery camos (also no insanely sweat SBMM lobbies)
- FFA doesn’t have game chat work during game and is only death comms or after the game is ended similar to S&D (also I think proximity chat is sometimes defaulted to off for players so pls fix)
- voice chat audio does not route through the right audio device (will route through game audio source) if people are talking in proximity chat (been an issue since COD NEXT build)
- Not really a problem but I do wonder why you sometimes can’t hear enemy footsteps but can hear their gear clinging around and you are easily heard switching weapons or even running etc with ninja from a decent distance
- When you hover over a calling card you’ve unlocked it doesn’t tell you how you got it or what is needed to unlock it (locked ones do)
- Theater mode doesn’t not work for private matches (also still has that weird lagging and hitching we’ve had since BO6)
- A decent amount of the calling cards feel like placeholder ones
I overall really enjoyed DMZ and the campaign and really liked the multiplayer beta but I feel like the perk imbalance especially is really hindering this game and is a pretty easy fix that would help the game a lot
The release to me feels like MW19 where changes have to be made sooner rather than later (even that game had perk imbalance issues when it came out) (overkill ghost shrapnel with two claymore and a 725 M4)
Will update with anything else this just off the dome for now
Bullet velocity is insanely low across the board. Snipers with full velo didn’t even have a value of 1k. So you had to lead shots at some questionable ranges. For reference the “meta” AR in most games sits at about 800-1k if you do that in this game or want even close to that your gun aims in like an LMG

Is there a chance we use quick fix in competitive this year with the perk order currently? With slower time to heal of MW games it could actually make the pace of competitive faster? Could be a good thing. Rewards aggression? It doesn’t insta heal you just makes it so you begin to heal quicker which in theory increases ttk a bit in an already fast ttk of mw?
Downside would mean you have to capitalize on players that are weak or 1 shot quicker before they heal to full. Could also be viewed as an upside I guess.
