Many of you following along with #LizzoAtLOC were surprised that the Library has a flute vault. We are the largest Library in the world & home to more than 173 million objects, so there are many more surprises like that in our collections. Enjoy this thread of just a few of them.

Thanks for the easel @ParklawnFCPS! Am I using it right?! Charlie and Bailey say happy first day of school (from home)! #FCPSReady #Firstdayfairfax – at Burke, VA
This sums up April pretty well. From @WeAreTeachers on FB, via The Unique Classroom on Insta. Anyone else feel this?! With no students here I’ve had to talk to the dogs a lot about making positive choices or being sent to take a break. #mydogsaremystudents – at Burke, VA
Today may be pet day for @ParklawnFCPS but every day is pet day in my house. Bailey and Charlie love anything soft, looking out the window, playing, and treats of course! #petsofparklawn – at Burke, VA
Happy crazy hair day @ParklawnFCPS! Here’s a #FlashbackFriday photo of @ParklawnTech and me from 2016. My hair is too short to do these styles now. Why do one pony tail when you can do three?!
Tell a joke Thursday!
Two muffins are put into the oven. The first muffin says “Wow it’s really hot in here!” The second muffin says “Oh my gosh a talking muffin!”
Gets me every time! 🤣 – at Burke, VA
Throwback to book character day in October for @ParklawnFCPS #wonkywednesday. If there is a book character that wears comfy clothes and sits with a laptop under a blanket that’s who I’m dressed as today! – at Burke, VA
Sorry I’ve missed out on most of spirit week, it’s been hectic in this house! But I didn’t forget to wear Parklawn spirit wear today. Charlie, and the newest member of the Zamudio family, Bailey, approve. – at Burke, VA

November is a time to be grateful? Parklawn is grateful for friends, families, food, water, pets and snow just to name a few. What makes you grateful?

There’s been a special delivery and now we’re just days away from our book fair! Set up this Friday and preview day on Monday. Who’s excited?! 🙋🏻♀️
When it’s library time but you’re sooo close to being done, you just keep reading while others go check out. #hecheeredwhenhefinished @msveenstra5
