[WATCH] Mdumiseni Ntuli says the ANC NEC must use the party’s second consecutive electoral decline as an opportunity for honest introspection. He says a frank discussion is needed about whether the party has lived up to its responsibilities, adding that the conversation must focus on accountability rather than blame.

I thought comrade Zuko Godlimpi put this matter to bed during his acting stint as National Spokesperson of the ANC. You’d need the entire video for full context, but even this extract addresses many of Mohale’s baseless remarks.

Prof Bonang Mohale speaks about the current state of the country and how it has turned into a failed state.
"We are not teethering towards a failed state, we are already a failed state.”

In 1938, Oliver Tambo and Joseph Mokoena broke academic records for Black students with their high scores in Mathematics and Physical Science in the Transvaal being matched by only one White student that year. This prompted the government to probe their marks and ordered them to rewrite both subjects. Even after rewriting, both Tambo & Mokoena still topped the matric class of the year. The level of obfuscation on the Gwede and isiXhosa debate is incredible. No one is arguing the word is isiXhosa. What I ask people who argue this is whether they use this language with their parents, children or sisters. None say they do.
The issue here is polite language.

When her husband, Walter Sisulu, abandoned his estate agency company to become full time Secretary-General of the ANC, the family depended on her salary as a nurse. The ANC would not be able to pay Xhamela for months as it had no money.
It was under Walter Sisulu as SG that the ANC grew its membership phenomenonally and expanded its international contacts.
Born in the same year as Nelson Mandela in 1918, her parents names her Nontsikelelo in prayer that she does not die due to the outbreak of Spanish influenza.
A freedom fighter in her own right, she was a pillar of support for the Sisulu family when Walter Sisulu languished on Robben Island for about 26 years.

The painful part about the Justice Khampepe Commission is that the victim must prove his innocence against the offender.
Today those who were oppressed and killed must answer why their killers are not in prison.
It’s a strange thing for me! #KhampepeCommission
