I rlly dont have any issues with hedonism as a moral philosophy tbh. It has been made entirely clear to me that for 99% of ppl, the path to greatest happiness is being a good person. And most stereotypically hedonistic acts come from misapprehending what makes one happy

The Kirkening is now so eclipsed by memes, it’s easy to forget how hard the right tried to manifest a post-9/11 “kill them all” type atmosphere in the aftermath.

Real footage of Hume committing works of theology and metaphysics to the flames because they contain neither abstract reasoning concerning quality or number nor experimental reasoning concerning matters of fact and existence

This is not a philosophical or theological argument but me expressing, as a gay person, how difficult and exhausting it is to see homosexuality endlessly debated. These are theological questions for some, but they are not abstract for those whose lives are being debated and dissected. Seeing people debate whether my desires, relationships, and sexuality are disordered or contrary to “The Good” wears me down. It is hard to express how degrading it feels for things so fundamental to my experience of love and intimacy to be labeled disordered. This cannot be detached from the possibility of finding romantic love and sharing my life with another. My capacity for love shouldn’t have to be constantly on trial. This goes beyond the post below to the discourse Christians consistently engage in.
Replying to @RandalRauser
Randal, I love you. Please do better. Nowhere did I claim “gay people are disordered”. You are publicly misrepresenting me. Intrinsically non-procreative sex *acts* and *desires* are disordered in the sense that they are directed away from the good — they’re morally misdirected.

You said that you can call same-sex acts as disordered without being bigoted. Yet you dismiss the difficulty such a conversations puts on gay people. My only conclusion is that you don’t really care and are thereby a hypocrite.
