I want to reassure Doncaster, the spike in cases from 25–31 May was due to widespread testing in our care homes. Where a number of asymptomatic cases were identified. Testing from 8-14 June shows significant fall. I ask that people follow the social distancing advice & stay safe.
We’re getting a lot of questions about the possibility for a local lockdown in Doncaster on the back of recent figures.
Here’s an update from our Director of Public Health Dr @RupertSuckling.

My Decision time cartoon for @WeAreCyclingUK.
(I stupidly put an unbranded version of this picture in a reply by mistake yesterday. If you post this image I'd really appreciate this one being used (and me + @WeAreCyclingUK credited) - thank you.)

Brilliant letter in the @thetimes today. Showing @JustinWelby 's true colours. When the cameras are off he is just getting on with caring for people - just like Jesus.

Profoundly moved and troubled, He weeps (Jn 11:35). We ask the Lord for the grace of weeping today before all the people who are suffering the consequences of this pandemic. May today be for everyone like a Sunday of tears. #HomilySantaMarta

“We must lead by example. Staying at home and demonstrating solidarity with the rest of the country at this testing time, is, we believe, the right way of helping and ministering to our nation.”
