In 2018 I initiated & proposed the formation of a local genomics and bioinformatics consortium to my BSc alma mater. I'm glad to see that the Nigerian scientists I pitched this idea to carried on with this and they keep firing up, & institutionalised this.

Cassava is considered few cultivated plant in Burkina Faso, however in recent years it has been increasingly adopted by burkinabé farmers. This is WAVE-BF observation in the field. Notable fact is many women own cassava fields in Burkina Faso.
