After everything we’ve been through these past two years, too many voters STILL didn’t understand the assignment. What will it take?!

Global temperatures have tied their all-time highest value on record at 2.04C above preindustrial levels (measured as a change from the 1850-1900 period) in the Copernicus/ERA5 dataset. The prior record was set back in November 2023. The world has now experienced seven days above 2C.

Good morning with good news: China's CO2 emissions from energy & industry fell 3.1% in Q3 2026 versus Q3 2025. Emissions are flat or falling for 2.5 years. Why? Mainly, a HUGE rollout of renewables & EVs. Coal fell from 70% share to 49.1% in 9/2026. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Black voter turnout held at ~96% of 2024, the highest rate for any midterm in at least a decade, in the Deep South on Tues. If Scott Colom manages to win Mississippi's Senate seat, it wouldn't have been possible without sky-high engagement of Black voters gelliottmorris.com/p/2026-11…

Breaking: China’s CO2 emissions fell 3.1% in Q3 of 2026, the largest drop since 2022 Covid lockdowns. High oil prices and EVs pushed down oil demand, clean energy growth displaced coal power, steel and cement emissions fell, and coal-to-chemicals industry growth kept slowing.

Women Soul of the Nation Georgia voters elected eight Black women to help lead our state. Their work will touch our lives every day, from how we educate our children and protect voting rights to what families pay to keep the lights on. I’m celebrating these women and the people who organized, registered voters and showed up to make these victories possible. Congratulations to Georgia’s newly elected leaders: Keisha Lance Bottoms, governor Tanya Miller, attorney general Penny Brown Reynolds, secretary of state Katherine E. Juhan-Arnold, commissioner of agriculture Nikki Porcher, commissioner of labor Lydia Powell, state school superintendent Keisha Sean Waites, insurance commissioner Shelia Edwards, Public Service Commission, District 5 I pray that you use the power entrusted to you to protect people’s rights, make their lives better and serve every Georgian with dignity and care. #WomenSoulOfTheNation #GeorgiaHistory #BlackWomenLead #PublicService

BREAKING: SOMALI STRONG! 9 Somali Americans won their elections last night despite the vile racist smear campaign that Trump has been waging against their entire ethnicity. Victory is the best revenge... Trump called Somalis "garbage." His relentless attacks against their communities were the most consistent racist barb in his arsenal this election cycle. He was convinced that throwing hateful red meat to his base would carry the day for MAGA. “I don’t want them in our country," he said. “They contribute nothing," he said. “Ilhan Omar is garbage. She’s garbage. Her friends are garbage," he said. “Let them go back to where they came from and fix it," he said. He called Somalia “barely a country” and said Somalis come from “hell.” He said, “Their country stinks”. But last night, the American people stood up and showed him exactly what they think of Somalis. We support them, value them, and we think they belong in government! Rep. Ilhan Omar won reelection. Omar Fateh and Zaynab Mohamed won Minnesota State Senate seats in Minneapolis. Samakab Hussein won a Minnesota State House seat in St. Paul’s East Side. Mohamud Noor and Anquam Mahamoud won Minnesota State House house seats in Minneaplois. Abdi Daisane flipped a Minnesota State House seat in the the St. Cloud area. Ismail Mohamed and Munira Yasin Abdullahi won Ohio House seats in Columbus. Trump tried to make them a punchline. Instead, they made history. The MAGA era is over. We are sick and tired of letting these demented fascists divide us along racial and religious lines. America is vibrant, multiracial democracy and if Republicans don't like it, they can get out! Please ❤️ and share to congratulate these winners!

This is remarkable. Parts of Florida’s Space Coast have received up to *half a year’s worth of rain* in the last day and a half — as much as 27 inches in 36 hours, about 50% of an average year’s rainfall (radar estimate through 5 p.m. ET Monday). The most extreme totals occurred in the stretch from Palm Bay to Valkaria. What contributed to this: • A deep flow of moisture from record-warm waters in the southwestern Atlantic • Weak winds through the middle atmosphere, which kept storms slow-moving • Background moisture levels boosted by a record El Niño, riding the tailwind of a warming climate

‼️ Flash Flood Emergency Continues In all my year’s as a Meteorologist, I’ve NEVER seen anything like this. Multiple cities have seen 12-24” of rain, without a Tropical Storm, and it just won’t stop. ~2 feet in Palm Bay & Melbourne. As I write this torrential bands are setting up again in Central and East #Florida dumping more #flooding rain. We’ve seen many 1-in-1000 year events in the last 2 days. Entire neighborhoods are experiencing catastrophic floods! This is due to the Super #ElNino on top of a warmed atmosphere. With an El Niño this intense - by far the strongest we have ever seen - Expect the unexpected.

Earth has never had a month that exceeded +2C above pre-industrial. But that may change by winter. 1/2 of the Super Ensemble members forecast a +2C month - the average says we reached +2C is February. BOM is the highest at +2.33C. This breach of 2C is due to global warming, with the Super El Niño heat added on top, and yes the change in aerosols/ cloud cover/ sun reflectivity. The #ElNino will peak in ~December, but peak Global temperature lags El Niño by a couple of months as stored ocean heat is released. The breach of 2C will be temporary, as El Niño fades the global temp will drop back down… but likely not back to where we were before. It is in this way that El Niño sets a new bar, and another “stepped” increase in global temperature. There’s no sign yet that carbon fueled march upward will stop anytime soon.

Breaking News! Code UFB!!! As of October 13, Antarctic sea-ice extent is more than 5.0 standard deviations below the 1991-2020 daily average. Under "normal" circumstances, the likelihood of this happening just by chance would be about 1-in-5,800,000.
