Writing a novel about animal rescuers called The Patron Saint of Dogs. Sorry, I don't follow photos of graphic animal cruelty.

It's no way for a friend to die. If you see an animal locked in a hot car or suffering in the heat, please call local authorities

We are heartbroken by the passing of our longtime friend Sir Patrick Stewart. 🧡 A passionate advocate for pit bulls, Patrick used his voice to challenge stereotypes and protect animals from cruelty. We are forever grateful for his compassion and friendship.

Just heard Patrick Stewart has passed away. 💔
On top of his many achievements - from Shakespearean actor to Star Trek captain - he also was a dog lover, dog foster parent, & pit bull advocate who worked with @ASPCA to #GetTough on dogfighting.

After contacting 47 animal shelters in a relentless attempt to locate his missing dog, a man finally received the news he had been waiting for. The long-awaited reunion was recorded on video and quickly thrilled thousands of people on social networks due to the animal's intense reaction when recognizing its owner.

‼️🐾Northern Ireland is set to be the first jurisdiction in the UK and Ireland to introduce Ruby’s Law.
👨⚖️Ruby’s Law aims to recognise pet abuse as part of domestic abuse, and address that threat or harm to animals can be used as coercive control to intimidate a partner.
📣Tara Cunningham of Causeway Coast Dog Rescue campaigns for animal welfare reform in NI, and she spoke to our reporter Emily Brown about this step.

VOCÊS SABIAM? De acordo com as tradições mexicanas, hoje, dia 27 de outubro, é o dia em que os pets que já se foram visitam a casa de seus tutores para matar a saudade e mostrar que não se esqueceram deles 🥹❤

He survived. His owner didn’t.
Yesterday in Kyiv, rescuers pulled this little dog alive from the rubble.
He’ll wait for the woman who will never open the door again.

💔 IN MEMORY OF JESSE ADAMS — A TRUE HERO FOR ANIMALS 💔
It is with enormous sadness that we have learned of the tragic death of Jesse Adams, founder of RainCoast Dog Rescue Society in Canada, who lost his life while carrying out an animal rescue mission in one of the most dangerous areas of Ukraine.
Jesse dedicated his life to saving animals, even when it meant putting his own life at risk.
We first came to know Jesse in 2021, when Afghanistan fell to the Taliban. Jesse and RainCoast were among the extraordinary organisations that came together to assist KSAR with the evacuation of 285 cats and dogs, helping many find loving forever homes.
Following Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Jesse travelled to the border to help fleeing families and their pets, providing veterinary care, supplies and assistance getting animals to safety.
He returned repeatedly, undertaking increasingly dangerous missions.
Most recently, Jesse worked alongside Animal Rescue Kharkiv, rescuing hundreds of animals from devastated frontline communities under constant threat from drones, missiles and artillery.
These were extraordinary acts of compassion and courage in the face of unimaginable danger.
Jesse knew the risks. He knew every mission could be his last. Yet he continued because he believed animals caught in conflict deserved protection just as much as those living in peace.
Those of us working in animal rescue in conflict zones understand and accept these risks. But few possess the courage to repeatedly travel towards danger when everyone else is trying to escape it.
Jesse was one of those very special people.
His death is a devastating loss to his family, friends, RainCoast and the international animal rescue community.
Our hearts go out to everyone who knew and loved him, particularly the Ukrainian rescuers who worked alongside him.
His legacy lives on in every animal he saved and every rescuer he inspired.
Rest in peace, Jesse. The world has lost an extraordinary human being, and the animals have lost a true champion. 🐾💔
With love and deepest respect,
Louise and everyone at War Paws

I love stumbling upon mustangs we haven’t found for a while. These wild guys are all in great shape going into the winter. Janelle has been bringing our #wildhorse herds over the mountain to our side so that we can feed them when forage is scarce.
