Pretty exciting day at the Michigan Democratic Party Spring Convention. Lots of energy in the room. Also @ErinPage2003 had the honor of singing the National Anthem to get things started. @MichiganDems

Michigan, the work begins now. I’m ready to hit the ground running to lower costs, raise wages, and end corruption. We can — and will — get it done.

Hakeem Jeffries will be Speaker of the House and Chuck Schumer will be Senate Majority Leader. Don’t like it? Tough shit.

The Speaker will be chosen in 2 weeks. Jeffries will win. Schumer too. Why? Because they are the ones who recruited these candidates who flipped the nation blue. Most if not all elected Dems owe loyalty to them. Those that don't respectfully fear them. Get over yourself.

The left wing is going have to decide fast if they're going to be legislators or activists. People are DONE with all the bullshit talking and social media clout chasing AOC ha ZERO BILLS to her name. Who exactly are yall helping???
When Democrats have the power, we have to use it. Don't just talk about healthcare justice—pass Medicare for All. Don't just talk about abortion justice—pass the EACH Act. Don't just talk about racial justice—pass reparations NOW. Don't just talk about immigrant justice—abolish ICE.

I’ve seen more people criticize Jeffries who’s never been Speaker. Than Mike Johnson who sits as Speaker. This country can not let go of its racism. Any way I can’t wait to see him make history and keep pissing racists off.

Black people—especially Black women— are always on the right side of history. Let’s be clear—we are celebrating today mostly due to Black women. Remember that and show appreciation!

I wish my mother could have seen Georgia last night. When she called on women to become the soul of the nation, she was asking us to help shape what this country stands for and how it treats its people. She spent her life putting those words into action. I thought of her as Keisha Lance Bottoms became the first Black woman elected governor of a U.S. state. I thought, too, of the Black women who went door to door, registered voters and organized for years. Many did not live to see what they helped make possible. Congratulations, Governor-elect Bottoms. Congratulations also to Penny Brown Reynolds, Georgia’s next secretary of state, and Tanya Miller, our next attorney general. I’m thinking of the Black girls who will grow up seeing women who look like them lead Georgia. I pray they see what my mother saw in leadership: the power to make life better for others and the responsibility to use it. #CorettaScottKing #KeishaLanceBottoms #PennyBrownReynolds #TanyaMiller #GeorgiaHistory

Moderate Democrats swept & somehow social media is trying to convince us that far left candidates have a mandate.
🚨NEW! Important, must-read from THIRD WAY: "Democrats should be clear-eyed about who the majority makers were in these midterms." "The majority makers of 2026 were mainstream and moderate Democrats who overperformed and flipped red and purple places blue—especially in seats that have been moving further away from Democrats over the last decade." thirdway.org/memo/moderates-…

Never ever allow anyone to convince you to not vote. They realize how important your vote is that is why they do everything they can to dissuade you. Another tell is this - do you EVAH see a concerted effort to convince white folk not to vote? ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

Take note of the people pushing the idea of Rep Hakeem Jeffries not becoming Speaker of the House after he just delivered an estimated 255 seats. He's been the most effective leader since Pelosi. The audacity.

Last night, the American people spoke loud and clear — they've had enough of an administration that ignores their needs. They voted for change. I have the privilege of coaching our red to blue candidates this cycle, and I couldn't be prouder of their resounding victories.
