Now that Mambo is in the bird room, rearranging of things continues. I was finally able to move Cookie out of the bird room. Our house is small and with Mambo incoming I wasn't able to do that until now. Only so many places I can put birds and I knew Mambo would need to be alone
for a bit.
I think this was definitely the right decision! This is the first time he's come out of his cage on his own in a while. I think the excitement of the bird room was too much for a little old man. He stopped coming out unless I got him out and I wasn't sure if my
I tried to include Queso on Mambo's before bed cuddles in the living room. This did not turn out as planned. I've been trying to work on it, but Queso still gets scared outside the bird room. His panic made Mambo think there was reason to panic too.
Pretty, pretty Mambo having a look outside, and Queso nearby upset that I am taking pictures of her. She may be new, but as a Bird of the Bird Room she is now under his protection. This includes defending her from the phone, which he hates.
Back from the vet! Hurley is fine. So I maybe overreacted a bit again. But hey! At least I know.
Mambo also had her first checkup! She is also well, though a bit underweight. This may be due to hormones, as she is CONSTANTLY regurgitating/feeding things. She has an appointment
Lol I call this a nutriberry sacrifice platform. I put nutriberries and other treats there, and they demolish them into bits. Yes, it gets messy. It gets vacuumed out every couple days and steam washed once a week. Anyway, Queso seems happy to have a lady friend to destroy with.

Isn't she adorable? I think I will maybe try some target training with her to build trust. Maybe someday harness training. She is chill enough that I think she could be a candidate for going with me to vendor events eventually. So Mambo may join the ranks of Charlie and Pooka.
