John Mansfield was a Canadian soldier from Nova Scotia who enlisted in 1916 and served with No. 2 Construction Battalion, Canadian Overseas Railway Construction Corps in France. In January 1918, Mansfield became seriously ill and he died on the 14th. He was 42 years old. He was one of the many thousands of Canadians who never came home and whose names and stories should never be forgotten.

Delighted to meet up with my friend Counsellor @BradMBradford who represented us the Beaches-E York when we lived in @Toronto A family person who is cares deeply for his community. I view him as a strong public servant, informed, approachable, proactive & effective. A fmr city planner who has campaigned on addressing the big issues of crime, congestion and cost. He is a man with a plan & get it done type of guy, a consensus builder, ethical & hardworking. He knows the city can & should be so much better. IMHO he will be an outstanding Mayor.

An early morning view of citadel hill in Halifax. I have never seen so many cranes on the skyline. This is a city of growth…and a very cool vibe.

🚔💔 Mark Long spent his career in the RCMP and Halifax Regional Police, then spent the years after it telling the truth about what the job takes. PTSD cost him the work, the purpose, and nearly his life. On July 7, 2017, he sat on a bench at his kids’ school and decided he was done. He got help. Then he built Cracked Armour in 2018, and later Returning Warriors Ranch in Nova Scotia, so the next cop, firefighter, corrections officer, soldier, or veteran wouldn’t have to sit on that bench alone. He spoke about the crack in the armour on purpose. So someone still on shift, still in uniform, still pretending they’re fine, would know they’re not the only one. Mark died suddenly. The work doesn’t die with him. If you’re carrying it, say it out loud. Call someone. I’ve Got Your 6. Rest easy, brother. ⚫️🔵⚫️ #CrackedArmour #IGY6 #EndTheStigma #cdnpoli #FirstResponders

There are few sights that say Nova Scotia quite like the Peggy's Point Lighthouse. Seeing it from the deck of Bluenose II is always surreal. The original Bluenose sailed these same waters over a century ago, and carrying that legacy forward today feels incredibly special
