Luke Kuechly shares what elite preparation looks like.
"There's plays I've made solely based on what I've seen on tape."
"As you study during the week, you can pick stuff up. If he lines up here, he likes doing this. If this guy's on this side of the field, he likes doing that."
Your preparation is going to help you show up. It doesn't just help you react - it helps you anticipate.
"If you can find a couple plays during the game that you've either seen on tape or seen at practice - you can apply 'em in the game."
"That's the part of the game that's fun."
Then the broadcast said it best:
"He reminds me of Peyton Manning. A guy that is totally prepared - that is gonna know what's gonna happen before it takes place because he has studied so much. He's one step ahead of everybody else."
When the game slows down - that's when preparation has done its job.
Success always starts with your preparation and your will to prepare.

Marcus Freeman said, "You waste time daydreaming about an uncertain future. Who cares?"
"The future is uncertain. So focus on being the best version of you today."
No one wins tomorrow.
They win today - one rep, one habit at a time.

Commitment is staying true to what you said you would do long after the mood you said it in has left.

The adversity we face today makes us stronger tomorrow! Every test, challenge and set back helps us grow. The key is to look forward, not backward.
Shared this message yesterday at the Align conference. It was an amazing event with great speakers and a loving and receptive audience.

The Honor Man is awarded to the top candidate in his class at BUD/S. In 2006, it was Lt. SEAL Brendan Looney.
Brendan was a Navy football player who played his first organized lacrosse game as a sophomore in college. By his senior year, he was a team captain, leading his 2 younger brothers and the @NavyMLax to the 2004 NCAA Championship game — a game played on every Memorial Day.
Brendan’s guiding principles in life were to Be Strong, Be Accountable, and Never Complain. Maryland head coach John Tillman was the assistant at Navy when the 3 Looney brothers dominated the field, and is wearing a shirt in Brendan’s honor today as the Terrapins take on the Irish. Notre Dame’s First Team All American and Tewaaraton finalist, Liam Entenmann, will wear a “BL” on his helmet, honoring Brendan, saying “he was considered to be the ultimate teammate — went onto be a Navy seal.”
During his 59th mission while conducting combat operations in Afghanistan, Brendan was killed. He was 29.
On this Memorial Day, we remember Brendan Looney and every fallen soldier who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
