My favorite film - the one I would pick before anything else - is actually not cinema, it's a recording of the Sex Pistols at the Texas Long Horn ballroom in 1979.
A few things to notice:
- The was recorded in Texas near the end of the band.
- The set is covered with country stuff.
- Steve Jones is kind of appalled.
- Johnny Rotten like a Richard III character.
- Look at those T-Shirts.
I can speak about that recording for hours but you're just here for free shit, right? 😀
It's raw, it's powerful, it's vivid. It's legend.
And the Lyrics, well that was the perfect depiction of absurdity of the times, of our times.
