If we decommodify the necessities of life (food/water, shelter, healthcare, education—all free and free to all), imagine what humanity could accomplish with our work.
It’s not about “getting out of” working. We want to put our labor toward what matters.

the thing to understand is that for many people the violence of order maintenance is simply not seen as violence in the first place

It's money. It's totally, utterly money. When billionaires want something, it literally doesn't matter how much the rest of us hate it, they're gonna get their way.

Sure yea reshoring BUT make it powered by unions and green energy, nationalized or cooperatized, and funded by taxing the rich.
So thrilled to share my work in Protean, one of the very best journals around!!
Poet Steph Sorensen's "Work, One" lyricizes the worker's inquiry to document the dull brutalities of a retail inventory job.

wow, new bombshell reporting from @lukewgoldstein reveals:
- in 2023, Corey O'Connor strongly supported Ed Gainey's legal challenges to UPMC's property tax exemptions.
- in 2025, O'Connor's campaign received $25k from the UPMC Board.
- he now opposes the legal challenges.

Kidnapping an activist and jailing him in the middle of the night is a brazen act of authoritarianism.
Punishing dissent by revoking legal status is a dangerous precedent to set.
We will be revoking the visas and/or green cards of Hamas supporters in America so they can be deported

The ruling class would have you believe that voting is the only way regular people can act politically. We know voting is only one small act, true change requires political action and solidarity each and every day. Workers deserve more, & we are fighting to get what we deserve!
Workers deserve more than Trump vs. Harris. What's most important is the organizing we do after Election Day and our ability to fight the capitalist class. In 2024 and beyond, workers deserve more. Read our full statement: dsausa.org/statements/dsa-st…

When we protest against genocide, the powerful beat and arrest us. When we organize to allow voters to make their voices heard, they take us to court. They know if we make it onto the ballot, we will win.
We need your support.

ALT A graphic showing a red triangle with black and green blocks and the No War Crimes On Our Dime campaign logo. Text reads: Pack the courts! First: Support two Palestine solidarity activists facing 19 charges for their participation in protests. Show up for their preliminary hearings Monday morning at 8am & 9am, 660 First Ave. Pittsburgh Municipal Courtroom 2. Then: Take a short walk and show your support as we defend the referendum against undemocratic court challenges. Join us Monday, 9am, Room 709, City-County Building, 414 Grant Street. Spread the word. Donate. Free Palestine.
This is why I canvassed and voted for @Barb4PGH. While my Senators and Mayor go full McCarthyism, my City Councilperson stands for what is right. Thank you Barb!

This week a lot of politicians proved why the #NoWarCrimesOnOurDime referendum started:
All but a few of our elected officials are more committed to funding genocide than they are to democracy.

5) Did the rise of capitalism reduce extreme poverty? Apparently not. Empirical data shows capitalist expansion from the 16th c was associated with a decline in human welfare. Progress began around the 20th c, with the rise of radical social movements. sciencedirect.com/science/ar…

Last week, thanks to the amazing work of over 500 volunteers the #NoWarCrimesOnOurDime campaign turned in more than 15,000 signatures!
That’s a phenomenal achievement and is more than enough to get on the ballot.
BREAKING: "63% of Pittsburgh voters support the referendum, including 70% of registered Democrats and 75% of people between the ages of 18 and 35"
#NoWarCrimesOnOurDime is wildly popular.
The attempts to take it off the ballot are deeply anti-democratic.
