Allow me to offer a few observations on this work of art. After all, I come from the same country as the artist.
Modern art trades heavily on the myth of what art is. Since that myth has never been codified, it takes many forms. But its central claims include these: that art speaks truth to power; that art offers a non-cognitive form of insight, deeper and therefore truer than cognitive understanding; and, last but not least, that art is creative and breaks through established conventions.
This work of art believes it lives up to every aspect of that myth.
But the truth is that it speaks banality to power. There is not a single fashionably left-wing artist anywhere in the world who does not share Jens Galschiøt’s views. He is simply repeating what everyone he will ever come into contact with already believes.
Nor, therefore, is this so-called work of art original. Quite the contrary: it is intellectually lazy in the extreme. It does nothing more than pander to conventional opinion.
And for all these reasons, this work offers no non-cognitive insight whatsoever. It is merely a tired, banal recycling of the ideology that already dominates the centre-left.
The greatest mystery of this week’s plenary session in Strasbourg is that anyone can keep a straight face when confronted with this piece of left-wing kitsch.

BBC just covered violence against women & girls, again entirely ignoring violence against men & boys. This endless gender focus clearly discriminates against male victims. We must end violence against all victims of abuse - regardless of gender
The radical left are clearly the anti democratic authoritarian, not the 'far right'

The fact that she’s even trying to evade punishment is proof enough that she wasn’t “insane” when she committed the crime. If a loving parent woke up from a psychotic stupor and found out they’d done something like that, they’d beg the state to execute them. They wouldn’t want to be found not guilty. They’d want to be punished to the fullest extent possible. They wouldn’t even ask for a lawyer. “I’m guilty. Either kill me or throw me in the darkest dungeon you have.” That’s all they’d say. And frankly it wouldn’t even get to that point because they would have made sure to commit suicide successfully when they had the chance. There’s no way any good, loving parent would sit through a trial and actually offer a defense for their own actions after strangling their beautiful children to death. Granted, no loving parent would commit that crime in the first place. But I’m saying that even according to the defense’s version of the case — that she was a “good mother” who went insane and had no control — her actions AFTER the crime don’t add up.

People like @mehdirhasan have no place in western society. Subversive, destructive individuals who weaponize the status, public reach and education they received in the west to destroy the west.
Remove them from our culture.

Every single dot = 100 illegal immigrants into Europe over just 16 years.
12 million invaders have swamped the continent.
And they call this "multiculturalism" and DIEversity.
This is an invasion.
An open invasion!
Dear @BrumPolice
If the public perceives your actions as discriminatory and bias and if you ignore the publics outcry for justice, what actions do you recommend the public should take, it you dont think riots, attacks against police property and personal are appropriate?
We are aware of footage showing the arrest of a man after a disorder on Broad Street at 1.30am on 21 June.
Officers found a group of men fighting. As the incident was dealt with, an officer was punched.
One man was arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Police arrested the victim of an assault and allowed his attackers to flee.

Baby Samuel was aborted at 16 weeks and survived.
Here he is sucking his thumb as he was left to die.
He lived for 30 minutes.
“No-one picked him up, wrapped him or gave him any medical care to alleviate his pain and suffering.”
“He was perfectly healthy prior to his abortion.”
This is not healthcare.
This is cruelty.

On Father’s Day today, my thoughts are with the thousands and thousands of dads who are kept away from their children purely because of malicious lies and a family court system that discriminates against men based on outdated and false assumptions.
Years and years. Tens of thousands of pounds. Bankruptcy. Horrific mental health struggles.
British men are put through hell.
Of course there are bad fathers, as there as bad mothers, nobody is saying otherwise - but there is no doubt in my mind that the system actively works against dads.
For decades, the role of fathers has been downplayed and underestimated - that’s reflected in the rotten family courts.
Fathers wait months to get a hearing, false allegations mean the child is taken away from them entirely. All based on one person’s word, when clearly emotions are running high.
It costs a fortune. Many men have been bankrupted trying to seeing their children.
Some of the stories I have heard from affected men are nightmarish. It does affect mums too, although clearly not in the same numbers.
It is torture. No other word for it.
None of this is about downplaying the importance of mothers (obviously) and of course there are many men (as there are women) who should not be in their children’s lives. But it has clearly swung too far, and that needs to be reversed.
That is what a Restore Britain Government will do.
Give decent and honest fathers a fair chance to be in their children’s lives.

Those scumbags who subjected a 13-month-old baby boy in their care to physical, sexual and emotional abuse during the final four months of his life should be put to death.
A child sexually abused and murdered.
Dying after facing months of physical and sexual abuse from grown men.
With the British people's approval, a Restore Britain Government would put them to death.
Why keep these men alive? For what end? Costing tens of thousands of pounds a year? Who benefits?
They tortured a baby.
There is no redemption, there can never be redemption.
End them.
This implies that sport events cause an increase of domestic violence. The Femicide report refuted this assumption, much to the surprise of the researchers.
