A little more than fifteen months ago, we declared our campaign for Governor with one goal in mind: turning our Commonwealth around. Today, millions of our neighbors across Pennsylvania came out and exercised their greatest right as Americans and made their voices heard. Earlier this evening, I spoke with Governor Shapiro to extend my congratulations on a hard-fought victory. While today’s results are not what any of us had hoped, I stand before you tonight with a heart full of gratitude and thanks. To all of you who supported my campaign by knocking doors, making phone calls, and talking to your fellow Pennsylvanians: thank you. Meeting so many of you, working alongside you, and hearing your stories only validated my faith in what Pennsylvania can - and should - be. I know Pennsylvania can lead the nation again. But as I said in nearly every speech I gave on the campaign trail: Leadership matters, accountability matters, and putting Pennsylvania first matters. Tonight’s results do not change that. They only make our responsibility to hold our leaders to that standard more important. Tonight, I wished the Governor and his team my sincerest best - as we all should - because his success is our success. Pennsylvania’s best days are ahead of us - and that is not because of any politician of either party. It is because of our people. - Stacy
