Iβm sorry but this train of thought is delusional. Shane Steichen isnβt saving this offense lmao. We have an insane amount of injuries and our offense has looked the same through the past two HCs. Whatβs the common link?
I know Shane Steichen is 27-30 as the head coach of the Colts, but I do think he'd be a good choice to replace Nick Sirianni, if Sirianni is fired and the Eagles can't hire Declan Doyle.
For me, that plan of attack would look like this:
- Fire Sirianni, hire Shane Steichen
- Run it back with Jalen Hurts, who was an MVP runner up with Steichen as his OC
- Howie Roseman then drafts a QB in the 1st or 2nd round due to Hurts' health concerns / if he doesn't work out with Shane. Hurts would also be a great mentor for that rookie QB
- Steichen is a good play caller, can design an offense and is a good offensive mind
- The Colts organization is not on the level of the Eagles organization, which could help Steichen be more successful in Philly than Indy
